Yes, after I posted, I realized that I don't want to have a TP at all. Since I will be testing, I want to see the full swings, up and down. I will be documenting for a few weeks to develop a good exit strategy.

Great numbers Thomas. I will set myself a demo with yoir settings. Let me double check you dont use the VB is that correct ?

Ps. Thanks for sharing your findings. I am setting up few set ups from Monday. All on same broker same starting balance 1k. I know a lot of testing has been done, but I wont to see it for myself before I put the real money in it.

Its the MOST AGGRESSIVE that is for sure!!

What I am using now is far FAR FAR safer and has the potential of doing the same thing as the original I mentioned, that is double an account in 12 weeks.
Hec, I got 27% profit last month (live account too).

Its mrdfx preset with a couple of differences not much...

remember rename the file to show ".set" instead of ".set.txt".

Ok these are the ORIGINAL RULES that ForexPinBar posted on page 1 back in the day:

1.Open 1 minute chart EUR/USD and attach the CCFP indicator.

2.Download CCFpWEEKLYtemplate.tpl(which contains all my settings of the indicator I use) and load it on the 1minute chart.

3.Open another chart(EUR/USD) Daily chart.This is where you will enter all your basket positions.

4.Look at all the buy and sell signals of the CCFp indicator and get ready to enter when London opens

5.Every Monday exactly when London opens , enter all the signals you see in the CCFp indicator with your broker(demo account) at the same time London opens.

6.Set basket Take profit=500pips and Basket stop loss=200pips.

7.Leave basket positions open till Friday and close all positions 10minutes before New York closes.

8.If your basket take profit=500pips is hit before Friday ,dont open any more positions.Wait for next week Monday and repeat the process again.If basket stop loss=200pips is hit before Friday dont open any more positions until next week Monday.

9.You can use any trade manager or basket dashboard of your choice to enter the basket positions and manage them

Oh ok. I get it now. Sorry for the confusion. All of this is new to me and I’m trying to learn it as fast as I can. One step at a time I guess.

Hi Thomas, for some magical reason I too have good luck with v17 cmsm. I'm not saying it's better than v20, just luckier. I've attached herewith my set file for your/anyone's perusal. Could you be so kind as to post your whole input set file here (for last Monday's set up that ent to 1,800 pips) so I/we could take a peek? I like the idea of using the ATR calculated Take Profit, as I too often trade 15 or so pairs.

Hello darranforex,
the 1800 pips basket has no special setfile. It is part of my upcoming testweeks which I already described.
The basket was opened Monday at 10:00 gmt. It took the suggestions from cmsm v17, trade level 2, weekly. There are no SL or TP settings because I
want to see how such baskets go over the whole week. It will be closed friday at 19:50 gmt.
This is the first time I let a basket go for a whole week so the result may just be luck. But I will forward test it the next weeks an then we see if it has an edge.
If you have a Monday with only 8 indicator suggestions for example the maximum pip gain should be lower than last week with 15 suggested pairs.
This is the reason why I am a fan of the atr function for setting TP and SL in my live setings.

Hello Forbas,

in my life setting I do use the VB function because it often kept me out of a trade when the markets went against me. I mostly set a positive VB trigger
at around 50 pips. In my posted setfile it could be set to 5 positive and 250 negative pips with a virtual bounce of 45 pips.
(this is because I was experimenting with a negative basket) But I observed that playing with negative baskets is very risky. More than 2 times the basket went down 250 pips - got up 50 pips or more and took my trigger - and then it went down straight into my stoploss. If I had used the normal positive trigger these loosing trades would not have been done. If you want an exactly VB value you must take the number of suggestions into account. But doing this you need to sit at your computer at 10:00 gmt - I often do not have the time....so most of my trades are done with a normal 50 pips VB.

The other setfile has no virtual basket because I need trades everyday to compare the indicators. A VB could keep me out of a trade and I get no results to compare.

I hope that helps you understanding the virtual basket.

Thank you for your reply, I had to give up downloading all the files as every time I was trying to instal the software it was coming up with an error. Anyway long story short - gonna get a basic laptop over the weekend to make sure that all systems are set up properly. I love the idea of this thread so I think is worth a try

Jess, what was your account leverage when you almost doubled your account? Also, what was leverage last month when you made 27%.

I ask because I can only go as high as 50:1 leverage so I would probably not be able to achieve those high profit numbers.

I think it was 500:1, I was using Tallinex back in that Mar-May 2017 run. Had to stop using them cause they stopped offering service to US clients.

Today I use Fxchoice which offers 200:1 (Been with them for couple of years now).
But a couple of weeks ago I saw that they were having issues with US BANKS. The US Banks were not allowing deposits into our FXchoice accounts. This does not look good, even though now they have setup use of new service to accept deposits for our accounts, I am considering withdrawing my funds and just using US brokers (Oanda).

I have made adjustments (not much) to my preset file (this is not the preset I posted of the earlier versions that uses ccfp-div). I figured that I can get just about the same profit as with FXChoice . I am currently testing a demo with this adjusted preset and so far so good. I will tell you this. The baskets are DIFFERENT and it is more than likely due to the broker feed which is different from FXchoice. If I continue to see success (one more month) I will make the change completely over to the US Broker (Oanda) and start trading it from there. If, however, the changes are too much that the performance is not acceptable then I will use a copier program and just copy the baskets from a FXchoice demo.

Here's a screenshot of last Wednesdays results using Oanda, as you can see this month it is up about +15% not bad... not bad at all.

Yep you are right.. I mixed up my GMT and EST times. Also, the noon time EST open was actually for another approach... Not this one.

For this approach what I remember was that I was trying to open the basket right after that initial time that the NY boyz start trading. If you notice just about like an hour before the open of NY stock exchange all kinds of crazy stuff happens. I was trying to get in right after that mess. I think that was my logic... I forget LOL.

I’m looking for a “Basket Close All” EA in either Pips or Equity Balance OR BOTH, but it needs to adjust on the fly in connection with the # of trades that are open.

So, if I’m looking for only 4pip Profit for my account for each open trade, then for 3 open trades = EA will close all open trades at a 12 pip profit.

And then if a 4th trade opens up when I’m sleeping, the EA will adjust on the fly and close all open trades at 16pip over-all profit.

Obviously, Forex is open 24/5, but I've always operated on the belief that the main trading session in most countries starts becoming active when the bank traders start at 08:00 local times, the "open" of the session as it were.

New York stock market opens at 09:30 local of course, so that ties in well with your theory. Also have to factor in sometimes news events happen at that time.
