Quoting kateeusDislikedI cant but agree after cheking the daily. I'm looking forward to trade this pair next week, thanks for the heads up.Ignored
Quoting llambert3DislikedWell, it should be confirmed long now. The trendline went through the candle open, instead of the open being above the tl. The open was actually slightly lower than the trendline, so roughly 4 hours ago, I didn't think it was a buy. Now I do.Ignored
Quoting YasirYarDislikedhey just a question.. when there is a buy or sell signal.. do u put the take profit level at the full price projection?? or do u close half the trade in the middle or something?? im just asking thing because its been my observation that 6 outta 10 trades never hit their price projection..Ignored
Quoting llambert3DislikedTroy, first who are you referring to when you say "than you are"? There are plenty of different countries represented on this forum. What alert are you talking about? The automated alert itguy did or is this something you have on your chart? itguy is using GMT, you probably are not.
Now, if I were using a different timezone, say GMT+2 and got an alert based on GMT, it would be tough to see and determine targets etc., so I would only go by mine and when it hit. Another thing you can do is download Metatrader and somehow make sure GMT is the time and use that to determine your targets, etc.
I don't remember what I had to enter when I downloaded Metatrader, but maybe it uses the address to determine the time zone. It may ask you what time zone as well, just can't remember.Ignored
Quoting 1SundevilDislikedMan did I just get lucky. Put in a buy at 596 with a TP at 621. Left to take my dog for a quick potty run (5 min) only to find that it hit my TP exactly.Ignored
Quoting llambert3DislikedHere is what I do now that I've been burnt many times... LOL Until I move from my current broker to one that uses Metatrader and can trade for me, I initially set my limit to the tp. If by the time I go to bed, the trade hasn't moved +40, I put a limit of +20. I can't stand having a trade be in the plus and go against me while I sleep. I'd rather make 20 pips and lose the chance of a big move than wake up in the negative. It isn't bad as long as the trade never made +40 to see it in the negative, but 3 times I've lost overnight. Never again.Ignored
Quoting YasirYarDislikedyeh same happened to me.. my problem is that +20 pip limit ofr a 220 pip projection is just not worth it.. so i put my limit at 110.. and when i see the chart the next day it had gone to +50.. but gone back to -30.. talk about bad luckso yea ill do what you do.. ive had it with the losses.. thanx for the info.. maybe ill be able to sleep peacefully at night now... ?!?!

My dog knows when the market is going to move, its usually about the same time he has to move if you take my meaning. Its kept me out of many a bad trade, thats why I keep him around. lol!!

Quoting llambert3DislikedThat's why we need to use Metatrade to do the s/l calculation for us while we sleep.Ignored
Quoting llambert3Dislikedis sf4 your broker or trading platform? So you are eastern or central time zone?Ignored
