Disliked{quote} Hi grandaevus, While CMSM V17 works with moving averages, CMSM V19 with PA. In V17, if the current price goes above/under the moving average, it gives a signal buy or sell. In V19, we are also dealing with current price action, how does the signal gives a buy or sell signal ? Does it compare the price with the 1 previous selected time frame percentage wise or does it compare with the opening price of the current candle and ignores the previous candle ? If it is the open price, as soon as the open price is higher, it gives a buy signal ?...Ignored
That's right.
In V17, if the current price goes above/under the moving average, it gives a signal buy or sell.
Not that simple. Indicator first calculates the strength of each currency then prints the suggestion list in accordance with the currency strength levels.
Indicator gives a Buy signal for EURUSD if and only if EUR strength is green and USD strength is red.
In V19, we are also dealing with current price action, how does the signal gives a buy or sell signal ?
Does it compare the price with the 1 previous selected time frame percentage wise or does it compare with the
opening price of the current candle and ignores the previous candle ?
I use a custom close & open price to calculate strength levels.
O : (Open[0] + Close[1]) /2
C: (Open[0] + High[0] + Low[0] + 3*Close[0]) / 6
If it is the open price, as soon as the open price is higher, it gives a buy signal ?
No.
I would be grateful if you could kindly explain a bit more just to understand how signal appears ?
As I've said before, Indicator first calculates the strength of each currency then prints the suggestion list in accordance with the currency strength levels.
Is new CMSM same logic as V17 or V19 or both except it will have additional option to consider "Use Current" and "Use Bar instead of MA" option ?
Other than that the logic is the same ?
New version will be the successor of V17.01 and it'll have a UseCurrentCandle setting like ccfp_diff.
