Resistance held momentarily - I already took my profits, but I may re-enter long if it breaks resistance or short if it bounces down. My instinct tells me it will break-through once the London session starts.

During the the majority of the day USD/JPY was trading within a relatively tight range around 113.20,but in the last hour the pair rose to its highest level in 10 days at 113.43., breaking above both the 50-day and 200-day SMAs. In addition Momentum is positive and the pair is trading alongside an uptrend channel. The 113.75 level holds USD/JPY down since mid-November and is a substantial resistance. The downside offers 113.00 level as support line and also holds the pair down since earlier November.

The up channel I am showing in the attached chart looks promising, however if you look at this pattern from the perspective of "dow theory", then we could be approaching the end of the realization period (public participation phase) and entering into the distribution period.

I think if we see a bounce down from the orange line drawn, then there is confirmation that this pair is turning bearish.

I do think however, in the near future it will at least climb to that orange line, so it is a safe buy or take a long position until then, and then evaluate once it reaches that point. <- That is just my opinion of course. I'm no guru.

...In addition, it is also worth noting that as far back as May of this year, the price has not broken the 114.53 resistance.

market trades mostly higher, wouldn't mind going long, but not seeing anything now, maybe we flag against 113 or 114 next few days into the end of the month first....I'm flat...

Watch cable ... there is something about it ... it made a double bottom at 1.2735 and choppy after the down move, no continuation. There is something lurking, maybe push higher in daily range until Theresa turmoils rise again ... take care mate.
