YES, I am aware of Martin Cole.

He has a different approach:

He believes that the SM "acccumulates" and then "distributes".


I would not necessarily agree with that.

However, his approach seems to be at least better than others I have seen.

Yes, he has developed custom indis on the M15, as far as I know.

YES, I looked into ICT (inner circle trader).


Here my PERSONAL opinion:

AS MOST TRADERS WHO SHOW SOME OF THEIR WORK TO OTHERS;

ICT was the target of MASSIVE TROLL ATTACKS.

While ppl like me resist;

he had enough and focused on youtube only.



Some of his videos seem to be quite good;

albeit these seem to be all in hindsight and not live; so he basically discussed naked charts from before.

HOWEVER; he has some rather SMART approaches as well; and a good understanding of price action.


Seems to be a nice chap too.

But I have to look into his work again.



As ppl know who have followed me EARLY; I quite like Al Brooks' books on price action; but look for my comments respectively in this thread.

Regarding "FXHard";


well;

let me say this.

Here his story in a nutshell (forgive me!):


several years ago he was running one of the most popular threads in which he was teaching a quite simplistic but good breakout method.

At some point; an SSBO indi was developed.

However; ppl accused him of coaching members and therefore he was switched to "commercial".

In response, he never came back to FF and binned the thread.



My PERSONAL opinion (which may be wrong!);

I doubt whether in the end; the method was still traded manually. It looks like it would have been rather easy to develop a respective EA;

rather than waiting 15h in front of the screen for a break of the "box". Also; I am not sure whether the claim that the method still works without a martingale element is true.

But anyways; the thread was one of the VERY FEW threads here where MEMBERS learned, for free, over a long time period, the SAME, unchanged approach.

Yes, FH was strict, but AS I VERY WELL KNOW TODAY (!!!!) THAT WAS THE ONLY WAY to do what he did!!!

Regarding Larry Williams.......


well.......................ppl have suggested that he made more from selling courses etc. than from trading.....I do not know...

WHat I DO remember is that he once had a contest or fund or project or sth. along those lines and that he doubled the account within a year; which got a lot of media attention. HOWEVER; he admitted that with the risk parameters he used; he may as well have had a massive drawdown.

And that is what happened thereafter. In the second year; he was down like -80% or sth. I do NOT remember whether that was the same project as the year before. However, I DO remember that he openly stated that with systems such as the one he used; it is all about "whether the DD comes straight at the beginning or later".........YOU judge for yourselves.........................

Regarding Anton Kreil;

I will NOT comment here for specific reasons.


His stock stuff is good. But the FX stuff seems to be rather long-term and "plain vanilla".


But I never had the chance to look at any of his stuff in more detail.

Regarding the "MAX Trading System";


well;

yes, I am familiar with them. Here again my PERSONAL opinion;

if your strategy is based on 20 normal indicators only; then WHY not completely automating the strategy rather than sitting 12h in front of a screen to get one single trade in EU??


Still; they invested a lot of work into the work of the deceased Dr. P.

FWIW, I'd like to say a big thank you to FF for all his teachings. We haven't always been in agreement but I do appreciate the time you've spent teaching us about SM.

Here is a trade I took today. You can just see how SM tried to give the impression the market was going short when they hiked the price up,,,, took out the stops of the shorts before finally going short.
