I wonder if somebody ask himself why EMA 12, 26, 55 are used for trading systems
Here the answer .

EMA12 mean the trading activity over 12 minutes . That is approximatively 15 minutes. What mean that? it mean that in 1m, the
EMA12 (15) represent each candle bar of 15 min.
The same apply to EMA26 (wich is app. 30m ) and EMA55 (wich is app. 60m).

So in reality, you are viewing a bar of 15m, one of 30m and one of 60m.

Did you heard that Moving averages represent the sentiment of traders ?

More, the most important thing at Moving averages is the slope, no matter the type of Moving Averages. I am not here to
blame this system, just to make those who have "eyes to see and ears to hear" what is based on, the Moving Averages.

So , instead of using a cross of EMA12 with Ema26, one should wait for price to cross EMA55 and then a pullback
on it. Why ? We need the pullback at the EMA55 to confirm that the shift in sentiment of traders is changing.
If you don't understand then mabe the pictures below will make it clear.

Based on this understanding, you can now start develop your own trading system.

Of course there are others tricks to take in consideration but, without a strong foundation, every house will collapse at first flood. Hope you will find these informations usefull. (Read in the order of numbers)

Forget about "Noise" in Market. That is the excuse of unskilled traders. Learn the market cycles,. everything is a swing, but everything.
Good luck.

Thanks Andoseg2 for this interesting presentation.
Personnaly I like to use EMA100 which is particularly efficient on some pairs like this one for instance

GBP/CHF on 1h timeframe. with SMA24 . Why SMA24 ? because 1 day = 24 h => if you want see on minor timeframes
the trading activity for 1 Day, then you shall use SMA/EMA24 for 1h, or SMA/EMA48(50) for 30m, or SMA/EMA96(100) for 15m

the only problem in the moving averags is when to know the market will change the direction of strong trend even on 1 mionute chart you can not guess and this is what we is calling lagging

after the market is changing its direction by few minutes, then we will say "all of us" ahhhh now the market is changing its direction

In this case I would switch to a higher timeframe to compress the "noise".

from my simple humble experience, the best time frame for the moving averages is 15 min.

Buddy, IMO this isn't true. It depend of that timeframe you want to trade. You trade 100 EMA on 15m ? Well let's make some math : 100 x 15m = 1500m . Now let see in hours what that mean : 1500m:60m=25H . Would you trade 25H or 24H ? Because 24H = 1Day . I think you would choose the second option . So, for trading 1D on 15m you will need :
EMA96 (because 1H=4x15m and since we have 24H then it will become 24*(4*15)=>24*60=>1440m (1Day) : 15m => 96 . So EMA96 is our MA . But because the crowd psichology is that the price will react @ ema 100, and since we have the EMA96 wich is extremely close to EMA100, we will take in consideration EMA100. So, if you would trade EMA100 you would trade in reality each bar on Daily timeframe, 1D.

Same apply to 150EMA on 1m : that mean 150 x 1m period , (150 bars/candles each of 1m) . That is 150M or 120m+30m or 2hours and 30m. Well I would like to trade on 5M timeframe with a EMA30 instead trading on 1m with EMA150. it is the same thing.
