im in with EC and UJ both are really slow not going anywhere hope EC will go down and UJ will go up ...

Hi friends still any losing trade... from 2 weeks not trying to fool anyone just trying to improve it as much as possible.

USDJPY did not go north as I expected
GBPUSD did go south as I expected
More profit than loss - Does it sysemt work - yes
I'll let GBPUSD stay for some more candles

Hi mizi123,

Quick few of questions..

  1. Which pairs are your trading on this strategy?
  2. And by "improving the as much as possible" what do you mean?
  3. Do you take higher time frames eg 1W into consideration when placing your trades?


Although the system is quite simple, I've been trying it and i'm not anywhere near what you have achieved. Could you please shed some light for me?

I am new to this forum. Have liked the strategy. However, am a bit confused as the initial posts indicate using SMA 5 with shift 3 for half trend. However, the first post shows SMA 5,0. Would it be safe to assume that the correct SMA is indeed SMA 5, 0 applied to Close.. correct?
Another question is " does this system require other validations before entering a trade in addition to the initial rules?
I have addressed this one to you as you appear to be very active in the recent posts. Would like to use this strategy and would appreciate any guidance you are able to offer as an user who has been using this system for a while. Thanks heaps.

Hello and welcome.
I know this is adressed to me, but I hope some of the profs will answer you as well, and not only me.

SMA 5.
BK8 corrected it later in some posts, and changed it in post one.
Because of that I have written kind of often about how I learned to use this system, I will write my comments in a seperate file. I am so horribly longwinded, and it would be a shame to fill the thread with repetitions.

Hi Wahabafeez, in the beginning of this thread they used sma 5 shift 3. But in december 2016 they changed too new configuration: SMA 5 SHIFT 0.

Thanks to all that keeps this thread alive. Especially too Oddbjorg and Filipo. I will forward test this system on a demo account this month and I will post all
my trades here. Usually I trade 4H so it will be exited to test this simple system on daily timeframe. If I do any mistake please correct me because I am new to this system. My first trades are here (I know it's Non-Farm Employment Change tomorrow but I hope the USD trades go far before tomorrow ):
