Just placed a pending sell order at 1.3060 with 50 pips stop loss.
Let's see...
Moved my order from 1.3060 to 1.3050.

There is a daily pivot at 1.3050 and from the past one week it is acting as resistance.

I'm not sure why most of the people on this thread are shorting USD.CAD. This is a bullish breakout with enormously bullish fundamental pressure. CAD news tomorrow will either pause the pair until Wednesday or super charge it for another few days leading up to BOC's decision on Wednesday, 10/24.

It may be bullish....but here is my chart...there is a confluence resistance around 1.3080

The USD/CAD pair went to a high of 1.3116 on negative CAD data. Very close to my short entry at 1.3130. Let's see if it will get there.

Damn - moved too many pips. Was going to put this on a buy if CAD data was poor. However, it's now not worth my R:R ratio.

Perhaps if there's a retraction to the 306 level within the next hour I'll go for it. Unlikely to get there though!

see how it respected that trendline on the daily tf, if it breaks and then bounces above on a retest then we might get some movement upwards. data wa really bad.

The next part of the news cycle, Monday and Tuesday, will question whether BOC is going to raise on the tail of this weak data. I expect USD.CAD to hit 1.32 in advance of Wednesday's BOC meeting.

If you traded the news, there was a pullback on the 4Hr to MA support, confirmed with Parabolic SAR, and a reversal pattern on the 5-minute ahead of the 830 news.

It is Friday....still took the short.
Everything depends on daily close. If it closes above 1.31 then there is no hope for bears.
