One nugget to think about:

The SM does not really care WHY the DM places its trades and orders as it does.

The DM may consider "fundamentals", "technicals", a mix of the two etc.

The SM moves the prices according to that factor and their general principles; to ensure that ALL DM groups eventually lose / get stopped out / get a margin call etc.


And, after the DM lost, they fall victim to Taleb's LUDIC FALLACY.

They explain to themselves why their trades lost; maybe they "should have over-weighted this or that fundamental info"; or they should have considered this or that technical factor.

The DM does not only lose consistently, but has no chance to "learn" from their losses.

This is called "anti-learning principle".

Why?

BECAUSE; one day, they are on the long side of a triangle breakout and it leads to a headfake.
However, another day they are on the short side of a triangle breakout and the breakout comes nicely.

The DM is BLIND.
They

- do not understand how FX works these days
- that they will end up on the DM side by applying DM "knowledge" to the market (if you want to see examples for "DM knowledge", just go through this forum)
- they fall victim to the same tricks OVER and OVER again................

And some even believe that it is all conspiracy theory, that no one could move FX, that it is all about "supply and demand" etc.

Their IGNORANCE will be their DOWNFALL.
