FF, but when you do contrarian trading you DO observe S/D! S/D of the SM of cource. If DM buy there has to be someone on the other side who wanted DM to do so, so he can sell to them...because he knows that the price will move lower. When the price has moved down the same tactics are applied to now buy from DM.
I think you could see it as a kind of commulativ delta divergence. But this time as divergence between real positions + orders and the actual price movement.

If you still argue that only manipulation moves FX then the only one who would win in your world are the MM and brokers who earn the commisions and spreads.
But as soon as you admit, that there is someone who do also make money there are (probably) only 3 ways they can do this.
1. the same approach as yours
2. ultra fast momentum scalps
3. someone who decides where the price will move

To belive that only 1+2 exists is a bit naive, isnīt it?

So if 3 realy exists, there you have your S/D
