Of course, depending on your objectives. What do you want to usually pull out in pips of this thing for a swing? I guess unlike intraday 20-40 pips it is hard right now?

sure..but the thing I like about the yen, is that it seems to give me chances with relatively low SLs lately....

True, if one can pull out 25 with a 10 pip sl, that is better than dream about 1000 pip trades that never happen lol

Have not followed it vs the CAD, but seems the like EUR/JPY and GBP/JPY have been stronger influences lately on slower days....

Agree. But there is always the trap of taking way too many of those trades. Once your like, well its only an 8 pip stop, hell, I'll take it, and you rack up four of five losses in a day...well you got troubles...

you got to be picky, and stingy, with them...


guess it holds true for all types of trades...

Yes, I fucked up on that badly in the past. "Oh, the RR is just so nice, what can go wrong with good MM ... " It took me time to realize two trades with + 20 is more than enough for a living if I just avoid all the crap trades I used to make.

Not particularly.

USDJPY doesn't trend much unlike the others.

Yes it might not trend much but it is an observation i've made when there is no major news, or hours after a major news and the market is 'cooling off'

The USD/JPY pair is moving back and forth alongside with equities but is going to close the day around the 111.60 region. The current advance might continue as the bulls keep pressuring the highs and advanced above the 100-day and 200-day SMAs, both staying flat around 111.05 ont he four hour time frame. Ont he same chart stochastic reached overbought area, but the RSI is extending its advance slowly and currently is located at 65, which support additional gains. The pair now is facing immediate resistance around 111.80 price area, ahead of 112.14 (the August high).

Usd/Jpy appears short-term bullish, but the upside seems limited to 111.80 level, the pair continues to trade within the range.
