I've been trading two pairs that are inversely correlated during news events. I simply buy the breakout of the most immediate level found on the 1 minute chart for both pairs. Each have a 3 pip stop and a 9 pip take profit. This risk/reward set up means that you only need 1 trade to tp in order to make up for 3 losses. 9 pips isn't much and is doable for most pairs. I routinely trade EU and UJ during every high impact news event using this method. In some cases, I've profited on both instruments during the same news event due to false breakouts...
