Politics apart, I regret I didn't short EURTRY when it came down to 7.0500. Just did it now at 5.9400.

The trend is going down and it's time to risk small positions in order to earn swap fees, at least. If the positions survive in the long term, even better. The "Millipede" strategy is what comes to my mind.

The Turkish lira is expected to end the year more devalued than it is already.

The Turkish central bank is experiencing tremendous difficulties in stimulating interest credit and political instability that may grow because of Edorgan's downgrade in the elections.

Being Turkish and living in Turkey, yes the political part is critical (since it is stated in FF terms I won't go into detail.)
When citizens of a country are not optimistic about their future (not even the countries' future) people tend to save rather than invest or spend.
The circulation of money have been reduced dramatically from market. The local elections also can be cancelled. Watch the news carefully regarding that issue. If it gets cancelled TRY might devaluate more.

Regarding TA, there is an important level which in my point of view is 6. It has to be watched carefully, when TRY was around 5.3 I was telling my friends that it should touch 6 level. Rather than fundamentals I think technicals are governing the fundamentals.

If there is some important news, I will try to post it here for the shorters or longers.

What I "believe" (%80) is local elections for Istanbul will be cancelled. The news for that will either be published tomorrow 12 April or 19 April. It will probably be Friday so people can cool off over the weekend.

If I were you traders who bet on TRY, be alert for this news. If it happens as I state above, 6 is inevitable.

Probably trying to demoralize LONGS on USD/TRY, to collect more.
Don't believe on comments you hear from the news.

In my humble opinion this should be the last thing as "confirmation" in trading.

I also believe that %98 (if this statistics is correct) traders loose in forex because they have herd mentality and trying to predict price action by reading the news.
