for the H4 channel you can use pretty much any indi that indicates the "channel", even bollinger bands.

Let me explain:

See this GJ H4 chart.

YES, there are STILL DM longies in the market.

YES, there are still MTs at the low.

So I am NOT saying it is not tradable.

HOWEVER, after such a long and pronounced downtrend as in GJ now, it is not difficult to understand that "tradability" decreases, simply because the more OR a market gets, the higher the likelihood that the SM Algos will just do a "normal" grip move back into the range; even before going for the low again. The reason is that in such situations, the DM tolerance is increased. So in other words, the SM will kick out any DM shorties who try to ride the market down, even if SOME longies are temporarily let into profit.
They cannot / choose not to ALWAYS make EVERY single DM trader group lose.....

So if you try to trade such scenarios, I suggest to work with limits for example.
That way, you EITHER get filled at good prices, OR not at all.

But if you just short at EXPENSIVE prices, the SM may take you for a "ride" into the range before doing the MT run.
