Should be relatively easy to trade today picking the direction when you use the Power of 10EMA on you charts.

Did Big E use the Power of 10EMA? NO. He had used the 21/233 moving averages before and he knew how to pick the higher timeframe trend/direction.

He did not discourage us in sharing what work for us with other traders. But if you add another indicator in your sub-window in addition to the TDI, he would object strongly.

After Big E passed away in 2012, the 10EMA was used replacing the 5EMA by traders like LE1 and X-Man. It has proven to work very well for those who trade with price action.

and now reaction at BRN 113.00

113.38 is not too far away... and we may see a new year high for 2018.

You will see several resistance above on your Weekly... 113.61 is a major swing.

Some economists believe UJ can hit 115.00 ~ 115.25.

just one 10EMA on every chart timeframe

10 period, Exponential Moving Average, Close Price, Shift=0.

so far, a 3R trade, if your initial ris R is 1%, then you would have made 3% return or have locked 2% and fight on today.

as normally expected when market liquidity is low, we have a consolidation at the BRN 113.00 abd price pulled back a little but broke out ...

let's see if today ADR would be hit and it would mean we have a 5R trade risking only 1 R initial risk to start with.

look at the crappy TDI responding to the price action.

Trading Made Simple only used 5EMA. BigE did not use any other MA or EMA in this thread.
Chart's that are posted is from Craig Harris Stochastics Method Post 4,356

When a member post contend that is contradicting to what BigE has posted or use sentence like:
"look at the crappy TDI responding to the price action"

You have to ask yourself: Is that member here to help us new member's to understand Trading Made Simple like BigE used it or does the member as ulterior motif.

Now more another example below EURUSD why experienced TMS traders like LE1 and X-Man no longer use the TDI after Big E stopped posting in 2011. With many more years experience trading by looking at simple price action and the use of the Power of 10EMA, many more traders including yours truly , we all can trade without the TDI.

Why do you want to stop learning? It has been more than 7 years since the OP stopped posting in 2011 and he died in 2012. Many of TMS traders have advanced in our trading experience and make it simpler trading with price action and become less dependent on the TDI.

OK, I am still trying to find my feet in this and have done a lot of reading from post #1 and still have to do a lot of trading. So, I am still a complete noob at this.
Question I have Emmanuel, is whether the crosses you show in the above pic is not where the OP would have called it bounce trades?
My question is a genuine question, trying to learn more. No criticism intended.

This happens when you don't pay attention to what is on the Calendar.
Now you can:
- cut the loss, stop trading for the day
- use Zone Recovery
- relay on retrenchment / pull back
There are some more news coming later today during New York trading houres. Market can go back up or more down.
There is also a major support zone (1.302888) that held up in the past.

In my view,

You are buying on bearish trend.
There are negative reversal on my yellow arrow.
And price break support.

For me, there are no reason for buying.
Still no sign of exhausting downtrend.

Why I said it would be relatively easy today... its sell only if you want a high probability trade. No stress. Use your trading capital wisely and be like Big E , he knew how to pick only the best trade setups. He never had to use complex stuff like Zone Recovery because he traded with very large risk - 15% to 30% of his $10K account deposit. He close his trades when price move forward and pulls back 15 to 20 pips, that's simple for him because of his knowledge and experience.

The chart that is posted is a monthly chart of EURUSD.
Now when trading blindly on every crossover TDI make will take any account to margin call very fast.
Yes - four of the red cross are bounce trade's
What not have been mentioned in that post is when you apply post#647 many of the crossover's would not have been taken
Apply Post#647 to that chart. Even better do it on a live chart.
- Untick those two buttons.

- Move EURUSD to the right of chart window until 1 Nov 2000 is at the right side of chart.
- Press F12 to move chart bar by bar to the left.
- When you see a cross over or green goes flat apply Post#647
Look at:
- stoch (Stoch is compress and can not show direction clearly)
- Support / Resistance level
- bar size
- wick length, top or bottom
- when green goes flat it does not mean exit trade. It requires that a member has to reply Post#647, then only exit trade or keep the trade open
- many of the "red cross's" are where APB is still blue
- what level the TDI cross is (32 / 68)
- angle of green
- space between TDI red and green

It is the only way to learn TDI and understand the content of every post by BigE.
