Oh Lawd! FF did you see what happened at UJ this past few days? The SM already knew they were going long, but went down two days ago to snap DM STS and MTS and till now they are still firing it up, taking out every resistance in it's way (more like MT and LT stops of DM shorties).

I knew the were coming for the plateau at 111.40 so I put my pending sell (which I forgot) above there. I had to get out with a loss when I saw the momentum.

Am I correct with my analysis in my first paragraph?

Yes I agree we could see a rise to 1.1720, but I think it will be ranging because we don’t see many shorties or longies. They could probably wait for the move until they have the us inflation data or if we see more longies coming in then it will rise and go down when enough longies has come into the market (or the other way with shorties)

No......the DM was SHORT (red bars)................................the DM was already short some days ago (see screenshot from before)...

the SM was just doing a "normal" position run against them, and when even more DM tried to short, they did a strong up-move (a MAIN stop-run, also killing LTs):

Yes.....the SM tends to chose out of 3 options regarding the topic (Dm run & news)

1. They start doing the run already just shortly before the news (if the news fit, they do a full run, if not, pin bar stop run and rev erse)

2. They do the stop-run right after the news (if news result fits).

3. They do what I call "fake momentum", they first do not move much despite the result fits, then they wait for the DM that thinks "well, the market does not react, so I buy again" and they do the run, hidden and slowly..

Remember, the SM Algos play a lot with TIME.

Ok.....regarding the latest short NU trade;

see how precise the TP was? The market did a deep pullback UP after...

NOW; of course you could have done a SECOND trade short at the SM Level, after all, more DM longies came in...

BUT, I count that as a separate trade.

There are other options how you can play it; you can leave i.e. 30% of the position short etc.

There are may ways to play it, but the story is the same. All roads to Rome. ;-)
