See again the chart below. Somehow when this pattern occurs, the trade usually fails. I had a premonition when I saw that slight retracement (that innocent-looking, cute little blue stub of a candle) after the candle opened.

Horace, the usd/chf successful trade (close to it anyway depending on where you put your limit) wouldn't have been taken either if you use all four of the filters. The candle prior to the breakout wasn't down. Also the buying pressure # was above the tl.

Can somebody else verify?

Ok... The filters, only ONE has to be valid

Horace was referring to the 4 exit stratergies, specifically the last one mentioned on that post.
Nothing is hard, some things just take more time and discipline.

Well basically that is what it was...He didnt enter the trade because it didnt go below the breakout candle's (the candle that actually broke the trendline) low...its a variation of the rules, not traditional mouteki. So since the opening candle didnt trade below the breakout's candle low, he didnt enter the trade because it wasnt considered a valid breakout...and in this case it saved him. He probably would of entered if the price did drop to 8785.

I used the same strategy on the EURJPY this morning. It DID break the low of the breakout candle, so I took that short. It went as high as +12, and is right now -13, so we will see what happens. See the EURJPY thread for the chart.
