Keep it simple.
Study only BigE's post's. Do not understand what he has posted. Google for answer's or ask.
Had to wait for price to move pass Support.

Hi All- hope everyone is catching pips, been a good week for me. Had a big L today on the gbpusd SHORT. Tdi had actually crossed down on the second bar but rallied up.

Ive attached screenshot- never go short when Tdi is below or too close to the 32 mark. Price reversed against me for -40pips

Im sure Emmanuel would agree!

Peace and love!

Note the last 20 candles (PA) are pretty flat with some movement.
You took the trade close to the TDI 32 line which is about the bottom. However I've seen trades
taken short on the 32 line go 100 pips profit... Just be aware how close you are to the 68 & 32 line
and pay close attention.

Hi Roni26,

Looking at your GBPUSD H1 chart which I attach below, that TDI 68 and 32 rule was not the key point to discuss.

One, you did not consider the Price Action at your sell entry. You sold into a 'strong support' for one thing. That historical support has confluence with several other support in that zone and also that BN 1.3050 is something to watch out.

Two, there is an exception i.e. one rule that we use which over-write the TDI 68 and 32 rule when we pick our trades. It is knowing the Market Type when and where trade.

Three, you did not pick the best setup and you sold a premium price. The best sell entry price yesterday was between 1.3120 and 1.3110.

And when you read Big E Post#121 , you must look at the other post above for the chart and study every small detail in all his posts and charts. Nothing is carved in stone when it comes to forex trading. It is not that simple and keep it simple has its limitations

Study that chart below, observe the price action and the TDI levels. Also, can you spot the different Market Types in that chart?

Note: we are at the month end and it is shadow trading today. This Sunday NY open 5PM will be a new MN candle and a new W1 candle.

If you are trading the early hours of the Sydney-Tokyo market sessions, look out for the weekend price gaps. Trade only AU, AJ and UJ during the Asian markets session. Listen to China economic related news what the Chinese may do with its Yuan. It is just a matter of time when they will do it.

After NY closes today, we do our month end top down analysis and update our Big Picture for every pair we trade. With one Big Picture, we plan our trades for the new month.

Hi Emmanuel- hope you are well and thanks for your response, insightful as always!

Could you point out the support and confluence with other support you mentioned? Also in what conditions can we overwrite entering beyond the 32 and 68 levels respectively.

Just want to know how I could improve that trade.

Kind regards,
Roni

If I may give advice.

There is not much to improve on that particular trade.
- Enter at beginning of that bar which the cross over occurred. Post#2, 6
---------
Now look at the trade you took. Did you applied the entry rules properly you would not have taken that trade. The cross alone would have told you so:
Post#54 : Wait for green to CROSS RED and open your trade at the beginning of the new candle... usually candle 1 or 2.
post#115: A Normal entry is when green crosses red on the TDI (and you can actually see the green on the other side).
--------
You placed an sell order on a bounce (buy) trade.

Keep it simple

Bounce trade.

Those order's might back fire because they have been taken very late.
(Don't chase big bar's)

Black arrow's show correct spot's.
1. Best entry.
2 Bounce.
edit: 3 Green flat. Look at M15 green over the same period.

I've honestly never found that big E chart useful at all, whilst i can see some legit trades in there ...it honestly looks like he's gone and looked over a chart in hindsight and blindly marked up every TDI cross he could find

i've never seen a trader mark so many tdi crosses on a single chart and come out profitable. The closest to that I have seen is some of likica's charts, ...but then again her entries are more credible as you can see that the trades were actually taken and not marked in hindsight...

if that chart is actually a legit training chart, please describe why the entries were taken

why do write up so much about the tdi in your trades, but not the actual price action

i can see why you actually took this trade, but you only mention the tdi ...and not the supporting price action

posts like these is why it takes people so long to actually "get it".........

Post#119:On this method the TDI is King. All trades are signaled by it as well as exits...
That said.
Those TDI crossover's is there for member's to look at. Why did Tekkies chose to place trade's there? Well it is up to the member to find the answer in BigE's post.
Took three year's to find those answers's myself. Long hour's of study. Spoon feeding member does not work, only hard work done by yourself does it.
Study BigE's post's to "get it".
Exsample: Post 84,888
What about a simple check list: Post 84,947
Little bit supporting price action:
Edit: Red news might be positive for GBP.
Am worried about those order's placed. If this support zone does not hold, those order's are going to hurt me again like last week

Shorted the AUDJPY where the arrow is below- another loss... support to the far left is all I could make out as to why it went against me.
Most charts have support to the far left of them, It wasnt previous support but recent support thats why I gambled.

Your opinions and thoughts? all will be valued.
