Futures themselves are sideways - to me at least, with ADX indicator clearly showing trend strength oscillating right around 20 marker ever since long downtrend ended in late March:

Technically speaking, price is behaving accordingly, but a trader must not forget what pushes the market in its direction. COT data paints a contrayer picture, to what we see on the chart and for this reason be prepared, if need be, to act accordingly.

Please post if anyone finds out about this spike of 60 pips...by looking at the candle, i bet it is manipulation of some sort to hit the stops above today range ... no real news..

White House trade advisor Navarro talked and of course said pro-US things... my guess rather than manipulation (that's always in there).

Spike up into 100H SMA and bounced.

Yes, but it happened in a span of 5 min....close to 60 pips opposite direction to the intermediate trend.... ....they(whoever they are) were gunning for the stops, perhaps together with that news.......

Hit my TP. THE 1 min candle was huge. Wonder why I only got a 1.4 pip improvement? Bet stop losses got crap fills

Double bottom which also aligned with levels I had. Ran right up into support turned to resistance. Same old story again and again.

Really....? and you think because your hourly charts shows double bottom, that is why USDJPY jumped 60 pips in a few mins?

Forgot about lunch when it rejected the 100sma on the second attempt up. Here's hoping for the big bear run everyone seems to be hoping for. PLEASE STAY DOWN!
