Would love to buy at 109 if it creeps there. Small position.

Has to wait for confirmation but I suspect this USD buying to spurt it higher.

Well...After the G7 meeting conclusion ...THERE WILL BE A TRADE WAR WITH THE ISOLATION OF THE U.S AND VERY STRONG REFUSAL OF BULLYING FRIM ALL THE OTHER MEMBERS , NOT TO FORGET THE VERY SHARP TONE OF THE SPEECH ...THIS IS A TRADE WAR.
I THINK THE YEN WILL SOAAAAAAAR NEXT WEEK AND EVEN MAY OPEN WITH A BIG GAP DOWN ....105 IS NOT SO FAR AWAY AFTER ALL

Idk man. Trade war fears are rather bloated, they all rely on each other. Plus if I had to pick sides I would back the USA 1000%.

Considering the USA is roaring back to life (at least on paper) and rate hikes are still a good incentive, betting against the U may be a bad idea for the short term.

Plus I heard that the fed was in the market recently for USD. Haven't checked that yet so don't assume, but if they were aware of a lower dollar why would they buy at an increased rate. Willingly make losses? Doesn't sound like a Trump Fed to me.

Bullish short term at least. Again I'm nearly always wrong, but the recent action does signify some type of USD strength.

Remember markets are irrational, the USA could drop a nuke and prices could still increase substantially. (As an example.)

Not US but Israel might very likely use one in Syria/Iran soon if it gets overrun on multiple theaters it is fighting now without any NATO assistance Samson option !

This week we are looking at trade wars with Europe n end of NAFTA deal.Given political situation in Italy n Spain which will threaten European Union n EURO I expect Yen to strengthen.Dollar rally needs to cool off too.
Most of dollar shorts have already been covered.
Negative GAP expected at market open.

USD/JPY is moving north. I think the pair will test the area around 110.00 where is staying the flat 100-day SMA.

Curious why you would believe that?

Price goes up, down, and sideways. MA's do the same - but always after the fact.

How can they possibly act as support / resistance if they are A) always moving b) in reaction to price itself?

While on the other hand a prior consolidation zone (sup or res) or reversal swing pivot high/low doesn't move.

Just sayin'.

Because it has failed to move away from the DMA. It is being rejected and is now moving lower but that could change if the pair turns bullish.

look at the chart, very simple to see the price being rejected
