Good day, Mate. I still read your thread. Been accused of many things so I keep most of my posting to my threads. Advanced Alien Civilization just a code name cause many mates kicked off for naming by name. Bunch of bollocks.

If the break for 5 pips fails, the break of the other end of 8:00-8:15 bar usually brings the pips, I have manually checked 35 occurrences so far.


How would you trade this example? The first bar is 13 pips.

Would you take the 13pips loss and reverse sell? Would you kick the counter earlier? With the same size lot or double lot size? What kind of pips will you be looking for?

Any other things you would look for? like range? If so what kind of range?

I would of doubled lot size and gone for 10pips TP and take the 13 pips loss.

Thanks any idea would help,

What if you fail also this trade? Double size again? Very risky and stressful, isnt'it?

Easy to do with micro and minilots. We are looking for money with 5-10 pips, so we are supposed to trade at least 1 lot. If you have a very very big bank (500/750k) i think it is good: you have margin and you aren't over leveraged, you can double a lot of times..

Think the worst scenario and build a plan of escape on it. On 1000 trades it could happen 1 time, if one hasn't a big bank you risk to blow months of works with 1 trade

Now i know this is unlikely to happen, but i am a little bit paranoid This is why i counter searching the breakeven for now; It's more easy for me, less stressful (i have a very small bank, less than what you think) and you are still profitable if you loss the 90% of the time

This isn't absolutely "a tip", i' m just thinking aloud

Mr G, look at a gain as %%%% percentage not £££-$$$$.
500/750K i was trading with a lot lot higher but that is irrelevant, look at %%%%%%%.

if you think pessimistically you will trade pessimistically .
NO LEVERAGE and that is changing shortly for those that do...
Trades do fail and that is why we trade specific bars, we need the stats....

You do make a good point though.

Hi, The majority of times i will adjust a candle range less than 15 to 15. so 8 will have 7 added to it.
a range of 13 might be left at 13 but like i say, it will probably be adjusted to 15.
a very small range can be telling a story.
The first break i trade as normal and then the second entry would be at the manually adjusted range with a counter and a trade for 5%.
That is the beginning

You're getting into Secret Sauce territory...the 30G's worth

This situation can be dealt with by running WZ over Billy's base method...MY not-quite-so-secret-sauce, lol.

I'm on my phone here and if I try and type this out in detail, my thumbs will fall off...but just think about it and I can possibly get into it more next week.

agreed, with a 15 min bar the range is going to be short , so i have 15 as a base line.

First thing for me is the counter, to hold the -15 and secondary the trade for the 5%.

should that fail i stick to the counters (2) and look at the 04-00 & 00-00 45 hour bars OR i repeat Or, leave it until the day after..

To Mr G,

I checked. I am still looking to find a single fail. But I didn't check them all.


Basically, if the other end of the bar didn't break, you need to be able to bear the DD and not close the fail. It will mostly break in the original direction for 5pips (and more sometimes) or break the other end for 10 pips or more.

Third scenario, would be that it breaks first end fails, then breaks second end and fails (fails to reach 10 pips not fails to reach 5 pips) and then breaks back in the original direction and then gives 10 and more.

Price needs to take a direction.

My humble opinion.

Am I in the right path, lol.

lol Billy, this is getting complex, but I guess the logic is simple once you do it live.

But you enter the break of that other end of the 15 range and then grab 5%?

You must also remember, i play bars against each other, that is why i have stats for 00-00 and 04-00 4 bar and the 08-00 15.
Then look what happens, we have the Daily and then we might have 4 hour inside bars and even a inside bar on the Daily....
I play my first trade, if it wins i am done for the day.
If it fails i go to next trigger (most times)

yes..
example......
1st trade Fail with -15 ..
2nd trade opposite end counter to hold -15.
3rd trade (IF but nearly always done) for the 5 % ...

so we have -15 & a counter & +5%.
we then hunt the -15.
AND YES, we can have a stop if we choose.
i could add a bit more to the story lol. but maybe not yet

Getting back to Mr G and his fails and counters,
we can get into a position where the counters begin to cancel each other out.

It has happened but those were days long ago lol.
