This can be done, but in my point of view we need enter the trades when there are good news events and hold it for long term.

The math all works out.However one needs ro look at the system and apply strick money management in order to reach the goal you are looking for. I on the other hand can produce 500%
Profit with a 25% win rate, Profit factor of greater than 3, Drawdown less than 50%, and never moving stop loss or take profit. If you are interested in seeing this happen simply hale me as the QueenOfPips and I will create a thread showing you how to do it. It's the time the Queen give you pawns some action.

Not saying it is impossible, but RE mentioning gamblers:
the OP literally started off talking about roulette... and a binomial model where what are the odds of following the "win" path 16 times if it is 50/50%.

They were literally suggesting 16 wins or bust, and not mentioning some edge. That's gambling. Roulette has a negative expectation, so it is the WORST thing to describe this as. Or accurate for most?

Forget roulette. He was just using that to express his idea.

If he attempts it will he succeed? Maybe, maybe not. But as long as he doesn't risk the shirt off his back is it really a problem? He want's to start with 10$ or whatever currency. As a sideline interest, even if others think he is gambling, I see no harm.

I am sure the OP knows that a venture like this must only be a sideline interest. Well I hope so.

You clearly missed the point with that senseless rant you shared. A person hitting 13 straight trades depends on many factors other but none more than the actual system being used. Yes, your emotions play a key factor into it how much your account grows but the system is what makes you special. Warren Buffet has nothing to do with what I or anyone else knows about forex so bringing him up to express your pessimistic pov only shows you are to gain a red flag next to your name instead of being a productive memeber whom can actually leave something for the community to benifit from.

ON TOPIC:

The idea of the creator of this thread IT CAN BE DONE, its not that hard from a win rate pov, the REAL problem its that you can not compound that far because you get into limitations imposed by your broker, plain and simple !!

its more about splitting the trades vs profits in order to get the biggest amount of money out of the least amount of trades until you get into limitations, 100% its way too much to compound, you will hit a wall somewhat fast (even if you can be 100% sure that you will win)
