You can check www.SocialVPS.net
I am doing my first month of the three months I paid for and I am more than impressed. I had to choose the Paypal option and was able to link my debit card.

Hi Guys,

I have been using Contabo VPS for some time, link here: http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-8325959-12438654

Cost is approximately $20 USD a month but they charge in Euros, I use PayPal for payment. I use the VPS M SSD plan and add on thge Windows server option (I use 2012 version). You have full access and you set your own windows update schedule so no nasty unexpected shutdowns. I also have an MT$ monitor software that will retsart the platform in case of a shutdown or the platform hangs etc etc..

Cheers

Just tried to register with them. It looks to be a Russian site. is it legit/credible?

Update (20:58) - there's something weird and not quite right here. I went ahead to try order a VPS. After completing the registration (just name, phone and address at this stage, NOT got to the stage of payment or entering card details yet) and clicked next, a page displayed stating 'Fraud Detected' your registration is under review. I have never encountered such before in all my many years of registering for various things on the internet (a fraud detection system detecting potential fraud from just your name and address)! I then emailed them to find out what this was all about and I got a reply from them stating that "The Fraud prevention system has identified a potential fraud. Please kindly provide a copy of any ID to prove your full name"
WTF! Provide an ID to prove my name just to register for a bl***ding VPS that appears to be based in Russia!. They can keep it!

I have been with them over a year. I refered a friend who has been with them awhile now. They are not a scam. Always had nice ppl on chat. I don't know why you had that problem, but me my friend and another person above just joined and no problem. And yes, MYFOREXVPS is a Russian company. So is Alpari, and I have been using them for over 5 years. They are legit.

Just a note. I have had that fraud thing happen to me on other sites. Once, with Skrill, it was because my name was the same as an Australian politician! No shit. I had to send them all kinds of proof plus a stat-dec saying I was not said politician. Other times for casino sites, it was because my address was linked to another name for some reason. What is scary is that a casino site has that kind of info automated. Who is giving them it?

Sorry you had a bad experience.

Can't seem to find where they are from or where their servers are located. BTW, I was mistaken in my above post, MYFOREXVPS is located in Dubai, not Russia.

I am in South Africa and I dont have any affiliation with them. My VPS is France based. My advice is this...www.SocialVPS.net

Here you can find the review...https://www.earnforex.com/forex-vps-hosting/SocialVPS/
SocialVPS is a service launched in July 2015 by the same people who run the most popular Indonesian Forex community (SoeHoe.id). The company is specializing in providing VPS hosting for trading and is designed to satisfy all the requirements of MetaTrader users. It offers a wide range of countries when choosing server's physical location, great selection of exclusive trading tools, and low prices.

Amazon AWS. Kind of complicated to set up, but the free tier is just enough to keep a terminal up and running. I've been using it for a couple of months to run a trade mirror. No issues.

Agree with you mate. I also use Amazon AWS, the free tier is good. Its not that complicated to setup, there are step by step instructions can be found in youtube. This vps can be accessed from smartphone RDP as well.

You are welcome. Yes its free, as far i remember 750 hours a month, if u run 2 or more instances it will be 750 hours together. Be careful, do not add anything which is not free, if you use such things or exceed your monthly limit you will be billed on your credit card, please read FAQ section regarding this you will find out more. You can set up alert system there to prevent from getting billed.

Ok thank you very much for your help!

Based on your experience, how many MT4 platforms could be supported from a single instance?

You are welcome! So far i used two MT4 simultaneously in a single instance, the ea i use are little heavy for that it takes up almost the 1Gb ram. I use a 2012 R2 windows server with 1 gb ram! If your ea doesn't consume much memories i believe you can use 2-4 mt4 easily.

So just to update for those thinking about using the USA based company Interserver for their VPS, here are the latest instructions to join. If you choose Windows you will need to choose two slices of grunt (as in the attached photo.) Up to you, but I would choose Windows 2008 as it uses less memory to operate = more EA's you can use. This will cost $20 a month. The price is locked in for life (no price increases). In the old days you could use 1 slice and I was maxing it out with 10 MT4's running, although with one chart each and quite simple EA's. With two slices you should be able to run 10 to 15 terminals max. You can monitor if you are getting close to maxing out the memory by look at task manager (it will show what % memory you are using, keep it under 80%). When you have your VPS, go to windows update and turn it to manual, otherwise it will update and restart closing all your MT4's. If you use the COUPON CODE: 001TLWH you will get $5 off the first month.

If you use a different operating system to Windows like Linux (Ubuntu), you can get the VPS for $6 a month, and with the COUPON CODE: 001TLWH, get the first month for just 1 cent.

So it's a reliable USA company. Here to stay (I have had VPS companies close on me. Not fun having to start all over again). Been around for 18 years, guarantee a 100% power uptime and 99.9% network uptime guarantee. Great ping to Wall street.

I seem quite strange but my CPU usage is 99% with minimal MT4 effort.

I have 2 charts with Renko expert (to create renko off line charts) and two offline charts with trading expert.

I haven't the same problem with other 1 GB VPS services.

Anyone has the same problem?

Alberto i also find it slow sometime, but you have to consider this is free service they are providing. Also you have to keep in mind Renko consumes sufficient memory. It also depends on the windows server you use there, the more latest the more memory will be consumed automatically. Try reducing the mt4 history bars & keep the mt4's minimize all the time.

With task manager I see the MT4 memory usage is around 30%-40% of the available CPU.

The other 70%-60% is used from Windows services, most of all from the Antimalware service.

It could be nice if we could disable these services, but I seem it's not possible.
