In your captured chart that you posted. Is 4 supposed to enter the area of 1? My Elliott is a little rusty, sorry.

You are correct - as far as traditional interpretation. I don't do traditional. I do practical.

As Robert Miner has said often, markets sometimes don't "cooperate". Are you going to throw away a good count just because it is not a textbook example.

I follow his way which is to cancel a count if wave 4 closes into the closing range of wave 1, not just penetrate the high bar. And in this case I ignored the one bar that did that as well. I only make an exception if the pattern continues. Obviously if more than one bar penetrates and closes below wave 1 closing high bar or price just drops right through and never stops then the count goes out the window.

I've read his book twice over the last 10 years and recall reading that. Myself I've moved into more of an Anderson thought process. Anderson as in Alan Andrews buddy back in their day. His study concluded that Elliott made things more complicated than they had to be. Anderson thoughts were to just look for 5 pivots, 3 to 2 and get on with it. It looks like you either do a good job of it yourself or your program is labeling things well. Your last minor 2 should be proven shortly.

Miner's software Dynamic Trader does not automatically label waves. There is thinking involved. The way i like it.
Measure time and price, apply wave labels. Rinse repeat.

Heard of Andrews naturally but not Anderson.

He was a mathematics professor at MIT where Andrews was an energy professor. Anderson had his graduate students do a lot of the manual charting for the studies back in those days. Roger Babson fits into the picture somehow too, but I'm not sure where. He founded Babson College. Collectively it's thought that they made Joe Kennedy 800 million dollars in today's money.

Nope. I think many people claim to have come up with it but the guy I think who did actually is a trader/developer by the name of Tom Joseph, back in the 80's.

It is used to gauge what stage Elliott Wave is at. Highest reading, greater than wave 1, is wave 3 (or vice versa lowest reading, lower than wave 1, in downtrend), then reading needs to go below zero line at least short term for wave 4 to take place. Finally once reading goes positive once again wave 5 must diverge from wave 3 highest reading signalling waning momentum for a top to happen.

I understand many people make claims without being able to back them up. I don't believe FXClarity is one of those people, he just expected you to find below post rather than him having to do so, given the trail back was pretty short. My interest? I've found his posts in an EU thread to be fairly accurate (longer term view) and his trading style similar to my own.
