Hi,

Some introduction first. I am an experienced but not profitable trader focused on automated trading and looking for new ideas I landed in this thread. I am close to give up forex trading.

I have read many of the posts but have not been able to read the 600 pages so I would appreciate if any of you could answer some of my questions.

Is there any guide on how the EA and its settings work?
Is there any consensus on optimized settings?

Is there any relation of grandaevus indicator with the EA, they seem to produce different suggestions and I am not sure if they are somehow used together or this thread covers both.

Ea doesn't produce suggestion list. It just reads the suggestion list that is created by an indicator and sends buy/sell orders in accordance with that list.

Same result, screen shot attached. Notice Daily still isn't populating anything in either column as well.

I am also getting different weekly suggestions on 2 different demo accounts on the same broker. (choicefx and mt4)

Here are the settings I am using for daily and weekly where the VB would open but it would just keep running and never open the real baskey. Monthly I wasn't using a VB so it opened fine. How do the bounce triggers work?

Edit: Maybe the candle color = true is throwing it off? I didnt pull up a chart to verify at the time the colors were correct.

Any errors in logs tab?

If none,

Remove all indicators.

Open daily, weekly, monthly charts for all majors(eurusd, gbpusd, usdjpy, usdchf, audusd nzdusd, usdcad) total =21 charts.

Wait for 40-50 seconds.

Restart the terminal.

Wait for 40-50 seconds for charts to update.

Open a new EurUsd chart

Run one instance of cmsm indicator on that EurUsd chart and wait for the indicator to draw strength values and suggestion list.

Maybe it is a stupid question but could you please let me know what is the virtual basket used for? I have seen it tracks trades performance but that can be easily done with a demo account, anything I am missing?

Could you post the settings of the indicator you are currently using? Most of the settings are obvious but some are not.

Absolutely right. Internal logic hasn't been changed. No matter which version of CMSM indicator that you use, indicator always give the same strength values and suggestion list. Only difference in the new version is, indicator now draws the suggestion list from strongest to weakest pair.

Sorry for late reply: away on business and traveling ..........

I am not sitting in front of my computer day in and day out.............. Your indicator, if I am correct, calculates in real time on all time frames and therefor - as an example on weekly, suggestions also change in real time? A weekly suggestion pop up, and minutes later can be gone ...... my observation? When I log inn, whenever I can, once in 2 - 3 days, I will find it handy to know - for timing purposes to take a trade as a result of suggestions. I do not use EA to take trades.

Is there any way to remove the comments for the EA? I've removed trade comment in settings but it's still there?

Trade suggestions change often, at times from minute to minute. How do you propose recording all of these changes with time, and date... In this strategy, one trade a week, typically on Mon., or Tue. is taken if trading on a weekly basis. This should take about 10 minutes. If trading on a daily basis one trade per day, about 10 minutes a day.

Folks if u think the suffixes are not being red correctly. Set PrintDebugInfo=true.
Then when u load it look at the EXPERT LOG. You will see alot of info. look for the prefix/suffix lines there you will see all the suffixes that were detected.
In addition you will see an inital list of pairs that the EA detects. You should see the suffix on them, if not then there is a problem.
