So far I am 10 out of 11 trades (wins of course). Real money (not demo) . The method seems to work best on the pound then the yen, except AUD/JPY. It seems to me to work the worst on CAD and AUD. I hope this helps. And by the way I am not making this up, I have no reason to lie or misleed anyone. To me if your not convinced off of his documents, his slide shows and charts, nothing will. Try it out yourself. Don't be afraid to try something new. The only other strategy I use along with this method is pp and fib lines to decide also where I want to enter. For example if the demand line is broken above pp I may wait until it's below pp to get in. Or if the supply line is broken below pp I ,may wait until its above pp to get in. Not everytime though. One thing I can tell you before I found forex factory I was a very unsuccessful trader. I have learned from people here and applied it. I will answer questions and try to help others.

I follow Moutaki and my stop and target are there, buy:
1.- I like to see Emas 50, 100, 200 and tunnel in 30M TF. (s/r)
2.- I like to see Emas in Sidus method and a strong signal in the Rsi crossing Ema 5 and the Rsi with direction (up or down) in 1H TF (s/r)
3. I see the tunnel in 4H TF (very strong s/r)

Then when i have a good signal and dont see s/r near the candle I enter the trade.

Well, I'm off to a rough start. I've only got 1 win out of 7 trades and down about 55 pips (real money). 3 were valid losses from what I can tell, and 3 were my own fault. The valid losses were:
Sep 22 6am EST Long EUR -26 pips (would have been worse but it just didn't look right)
Sep 22 6am EST Short CAD -44 pips
Sep 27 6pm EST Short CHF -32 pips

My fault (and this is where others can learn):
Sep 26 6pm EST Short AUD, was in profit, then it came back and didn't look good, so I closed it out at -3 pips, but it went on to make the target of 46 pips (ouch)
Sep 27 6am Short CHF lost 36 pips, it went 40+ but I was away from the computer and have no record now of why I didn't stop out at +10 (don't know if I forgot, or made an order error or what - learn from this, kids - check and double check your orders)
Sep 27 6pm EST Long EUR lost 21 pips, when it went against me this far, I was tired of all these losing trades, so I bailed. It then came within 4 pips of my original stop and reversed. I would still be in the trade now, but in negative territory.

I'm also down 9 pips currently in a NZD Short and up 4 pips in a CAD Short - these are sort of opposing trades and might cancel each other out (opposite sides of the USD).

My big win was 99 pips on a Sep 26 EURJPY Long (entered at a better price than the proper entry). But even if I didn't make those blundering mistakes above, I would still have 3 losses, 3 wins, and 3 trades still on and going nowhere. That's far from the success others have experienced.

The saving grace (in the longer run) will be the 3:1 reward to risk ratio, because I'm only down 55 pips on 6 losses and 1 win. And for this, I would warn those that are taking early profits (ie. 10-50 pips), that I know it feels good, but in the long run, you will likely lose. If I took only 50 pips on my EURJPY trade, I'd have twice the losses I have now.

Hi Art1, You said you've derived your own SL for Mouteki, what are you doing different, and do you find you are "saving" more pips overall?

Cheers,

My strategy is: if I took profit early, then I also took losses early.

I trade 10-13 pairs in the same time, that make me have around 5-10 open positions in hands. I did not wait for price reach TP or SL, but count the summary of all trades. If the summary excess my expected profit, CLOSE ALL TRADE in hands whatever profit or loss.

My preferred profit summary is around 150~200 pips for every group of trade. This strategy may not get the max. profit for each trade, but it consistently give me about the same profit when I accumulate over 8 or more trades in hands. And I found there are about 2~3 times chances per week to collect the group of profit.

By the way, some time I will close trades early before big news event, since I am not sure how Mouteki against to news event.....

I am not sure does it work for long term, but I expect only 300~500 pips per week, and hope this strategy will not loss too much.

Thats unfortunate.. NU is a very tricky currency... It will sit and do nothing for hours or move against you and then all of a sudden it makes big moves. I never had a stop in place and went away for an hour to see the downward momentum... WOW

My target is 6500 although according to the demand line it is suppose to drop even more..

No worries my friend, success is inevitable if you know the rules and trade the rules... then only the pips will follow

Can you post your charts and your TL's from these dates. Looking over my own I don't see the same setups that you used. I'm assuming your EUR is the EUR/USD?

Edit - My times on my charts may not be the same as yours. This whole GMT thing still confuses me.

For those who've seen success on using this method, what are the pairs you suggest to concentrate on for a start?

Thanks!

Well some in this group including myself have decided that the yen and pound are the best. I also trade the swissy however it is a slow moving pair. But it trends fairly well. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks Mouteki. I appreciate the encouragement, and yes, I know it will work out. If I hadn't tried to override the method with my own thinking, I'd be up about 100 pips, even after a 50/50 win rate.

uumm.... my bias has been short for the last few days... my systems tell me to be short.. and i still am.. but i've become worried the GBP might want a correction, as we're quite over sold.

I guess it depends on the mass of data due tomorrow!! Anywayzz, trade what we see right?

night night

Happy trading

Will that be pound crosses and yen crosses or just GBPUSD and USDJPY?
