2H 49M over 2 bars on a 4H Chart? I am using candle sticks since started with trading but what time period each bar on a 4H bar chart represents? Not 4 hours? Sorry if this might be a stupid question but i am still quiet new to trading.

2H 49M is remaining time to that bar/candle closing ..

you should know that the OP Big E passed away in 2012.
and there is no change to the method how Big E traded.

what I do is simply go back to the way he traded when he was a newbie back in 2008 and start from there.
he remove the two yellow lines aka the Price Action Channel PAC but I put them back which I find useful.
the TDI remains the same but is secondary to me. what I want to see is the price action looking at the price bars.
looking for engulfing bar pattern is one of the setups I look for to trade.

PRICE ACTION CHANNEL

read these 3 old posts by the OP and you will find the two yellow lines aka Price Action Channel is on one of the templates he posted. No need additional indicator and you can create the PAC in any trading platform using two 5-period Smoothed Moving Average set to High and Low

I made it... excel only. Get the CSV file from CFTC then do a simple table format and calculation. I shared it here but I usually shared it on local FB forex group and my FB page.

AUDUSD - Trading the pools of Liquidity

This is just a small trade win but I feel it highlights the need to choose the correct TDI signal. The problem I had for a couple of years was taking too many TDI crosses that looked good at the time of the trade but failed soon after.
So began my quest to understand how the market moves and how to select the correct directional moves and trade them.
What I found at the end was pools of Liquidity. We got it all wrong.
Its not random at all, just a price action ball rolling towards the next biggest pool of Liquidity on the chart.
If we can guess where the next biggest pool may be, we should just trade towards it.
Therefore I now trade AWAY from the POC which is often around the Monthly Close Line if we trade the H4.
So I trade the Candle with Intend away from the POC and the Monthly Line ( Kings Candle Strategy in a Nutshell )
If the TDI looks good, its a bonus.

Before someone rats on about not using Big E's Charts, that's because there his charts not mine.

since your using MP look for demand around value low and take the pullback to it to value high and even tdi was turned up

Why we are on the subject, let me show you a trade from yesterday using MP. Here on the 5 minute chart, we have had four days of ranging where the price action is going no where and the Point of Control ( Highest traffic area for day ) for the three days were all within a 20 pip range.
All I have been doing for a couple of days was to trade into the band for a few pips and then away from the band for a few pips. It is kind of like a ball with a elastic band attached to its body. Every time it moves away from the band, the tension tightens and the ball falls back to the band. This has been occurring for around 4 days and its easy money if you notice this nice tight range.

My plan was simple. Eventually the move away from the POC band would be so strong, the band will snap and price action will stream away. This happen last night so I managed to pick up 95 pips before I got stopped out. It actually reached 230 pips but I was already out and in bed.

Also notice that the average daily range was double so if we were paying attention, we should have guessed a move was on the way.

I was manually trading AUDUSD last week and and did well. Easy when the trend continues all week after making the correct initial pick using weekly.

If I had done this with my MEME trade manager I would have got close to this simulation below. This is using fixed lot sizes with a max of 3 MEME entries at one time on a gris spacing of 0.5 ADR(daily 100). More risk though as a reverse in trend will wipe out all profit unless closed early.
