Don't you afraid of binary options? For me all these BO brokers are vaguely, once I deposited some money there was a problem with fully withdrawal of all my money.. I agree with Copernicus. For retail traders, you would need a big acount to make 1-2% work for you especially if looking to replace an income.

This indeed is a rookie talk. Focusing on your monthly trading income while still learning BabyPips stuff would lead to wrong trading habits.

Many people do have some kind of a monthly goal as part of their trading plan. That said, I do agree that newbies should focus more on learning than on profit.

Having a monthly goal as part of your trading plan is not really a good idea. Why? Because your performance will always partially depend on the market. And you can't control the market.

True. I think it's important to strive to meet that goal, but not at all costs, because that leads to losing money.

Most Forex traders are not profitable. Most new Forex traders have unrealistic profit expectations. Poor money management is one of the worst account killers for new traders.

As Snah replied other parameters count beside how much one makes per month, like drawdowns, Sharpe and other ratios, standard deviation... quite many in fact if you wanna be through.
And also it matters with what amount, as psychologically is one thing to trade 100$ and another one to trade 100 millions.
Best to look for is the expectancy and/or profit factor IMHO, as I'm a beginner. And with what amount and for how long was that traded successfully.
Looking for industry or brokers statistics is not always indicative either. If they say 2% have made this return over the past 20 years, they don't say if they were the same traders/funds in this 2% group.

Poor risk management also plays a big role in the losses people take. There's also lack of planning, lack of discipline, sometimes it's just plain ignorance about the markets, sometimes it's even a result of a scam.

Look at a m1, m5, m15 charts. How many price reversals (local low/high) do you see? All of them can be traded, so you can make a ton of money every day.

That's true, if one can recognize the price reversal on time and then close their position on time on such small time frame. For some traders that's a big if.

It is not possible to get a certain percentage of gain per month. Market does not move in the same way everyday. And everyday or every month you won't get similar number of good trades. Thinking about daily percentage and monthly is a spoil to our trading psychology. Trading is about grow your account over time. Trade if you get good set up, otherwise stay out of the market.

due to lack real money management is the foremost reason to loss for beginners , i don't agree , it a part behind losing but the main problem is the revenge trading that comes from emotions.

There is no stats how much the other 4 guys are making.
Whatever it is, it is a POSITIVE percentage...
