Uhm, no I'm not curious about your total % you make (but I'm sure you're making alot based on your post history). I'm wondering how's your profit factor, which is the sum of all gross profit / gross loss. This stat can be found easily in ninjatrader or myfxbook. It's a good way to see the efficiency of any strategy.

Callitradar, thanks for taking the time to explain.
I was worried you were of the type "keep doubling until you win" and wanted to prevent you from blowing up.

Still, be careful with this approach. If I understand correctly, at one point you have 2.5 positions running.
All goes well as long as you are right at the second entry.
But if price keeps going against you, you incur a loss with 2.5 positions. And that could be substantial if your SL is in the right place.
You'll probably need more than 1 successful trade to recover from that, as you start any trade with only 1 position.

Maybe you have figured it all out and it works in the long run.
Just sharing thoughts ;-)

I don’t trade via NT. And my gross profit is irrelevant because it is different vary from account size to account size, but the % stays the same. Average r:r is around 1.4-1.7 and winrate is average 55-65% on Fx, didn’t trade YM much to this date so can’t comment on that..
+ it varies from person to oerson because there is always some subjectivity on any trading plan, so you have to find out yourself how efficient the strategy is for you.

No just kidding I don’t trade that often ( only traded a little over 2 full sessions past week ), quite busy currently with other things. BUT it could also be second nature

can you edit on picture to shown which price would have gotten? what i can see was those immediate order have shallow correction + strong rotation which got no good chance to get into trade.

ofcourse we can ignore the immediate and trade the longer swing , but that was not what the market working toward at that point . maybe we have to just sit and see when the market give us the opportunity .

Edit - additional question , should the previous post picture , the immediate term shown NSL now after 2 , should we wait for signal to go long , or trade the immediate to go short? ( the results was NSH after the weak correction )

I am quite confuse when market keep changing it dynamic , dont know which order flow to be traded. ( and by focusing on the immediate term , we could lose grip on the longer term when the market changes and working toward longer term )

Else , we should just focus on 1 and 2 , then ignore all those immediate term.

Hope to get some insight

I do not know what you mean by "...picture to shown which price would have gotten...". Please specify what you mean by that.

GBPUSD long on immediate OF
Expected one more swing in immediate because after the steep dive on the news event, price bounced of the blue area, made a (weak?) NSH in the immediate OF.
So expected deep correction, which I got (78.6%).
Got a good rotation candle and went long.
But price went deeper and currently testing the low again.
SL is beneath structure area but not sure I will survive..

I seem to be a little bit out of sync.
I pick the dodgy ones and miss out on the winners..
Oh well..
USDJPY, short
Expectation NSL
Got a deeper correction than my initial AOI.
Good rotation candle in structure area around 88.6% correction.

May be too big bull candles in my AOI will spoil the party..

My YM trade: Left 1 lot open and got taken out for +3. Entered then with full position again for +89

No, If you would have entered after deep retracement of "1", you would have stayed in the trade by trailing until the last third of "2" approximately. Otherwise, you would only get the 1:1 of 1 as profit.

Update
After 100% correction bears crawled back to my BE point.
I reaaaaaally want to get out at BE.
But I don't have a single rule that says I should get out when 100% correction is reached

I have to work on emotions again. Thought I at least got the emotional part under control, but the more losses I have in a row the harder it gets..

Going back up.
Only thing I'm liking is that price is sticking with the lower trendline, and the bulls look terrible to me at the moment. That can change of course..
