Hi,

Mouteki has stated in the documentation that trades will often run into one another. This, I believe, is what happened last night and today on the GBPUSD.

You are right in stating that a short signal was given yesterday. I made 106 pips on that signal. Then when we got the second signal today, I shorted again. At one point this second trade was up over 40 pips, but has since fallen back to +10 right now. Had this been a LIVE trade, I'd be stopped out with my 10 pips. Being that it is a demo, I'm letting it ride to see if it will fulfil the target. I still have the stoploss in place should it reverse.

This system lends or could lead to a lot of misinterpretation. In my opinion, the GBP/USD signal was given yesterday, not this morning. For those people who were on their toes, they got in yesterday.

The mouteki system gives many signals, depending on how you interpret the charts.

That's not to say that breakdowns of trends will always be successful. If you take a look at the EURUSD on August 16th, you'll notice that Mouteki may have given a short signal (sorry, i don't have metatrader with me, so I can't post a chart). But it failed to reach the TP and continued on in the trend. Maybe someone could post some interpretive charts of EURUSD around those dates, preferably in the EURUSD forum

So, I like to see an overwhelming trend. EURJPY this morning barely showed a good trend but I still jumped in. So far so good.

uumm funny... i also added a secondary short at 1.8905.. but my stop is at 1.8940.. a couple of pips above the 1 hr AB swing. What does concern me is the 4 hr Pin bar that just formed on my TradeStation charts.

I did enter long @ 1.2698 with a smaller position. Still holding, even though it has a hard time to cross the daily pivot @1.2707. Once it does, it might turn north and hit the 50 or 68.1 fib... Then again, what do I know.. In any case my broker wins.

I know the candle got stopped out on the first candle, but i was lucky enough to not enter the trade untill the second candle had formed. I have been in the situation where i got stopped out on the first candle multiple times. And i have come to the conclusion that the first candle is shady. Even though it has also shot up and went 3/4th of the way towards my stop. But as you can see i am still up 50 pips on this trade, with my new stop in place that will guarantee me a profit.http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/4084/euroyenxz3.gif

can someone be kind enough to post the indicator which gives the small red/blue circles ( swing points)

Its ok Horace, I went long, got scared and got out broke even, just to see it go the way Mouteki method said... Our worst enemy is ourself.

Could mouteki, or any mouteki traders that know the answer please look at this chart, and tell me are both these trend lines valid, if not, which one is the better one, it's current euro chart.

Secondly, could we have a section on charting. I notice for instance that there is a package FX4 that is free download, many already use and looks to be good. But I need to ask someone is this the same as StrategyBuilder FX4 and if it is a few clues on how to use it. New thread for these sort of topics would be useful.

Uphios, if it helps, most people are using a charting app called MetaTrader 4.00. This is a generic application which is used by many brokers who then call MetaTrader by their own name as it's pointed at their data feed, but it's the same program underneath.

in the metatrader platform you can find an indicator which is called "fractals". it will show you those candles which are important for mouteki trading.

i exited the long usd/chf for 69pips. the reason why closed this position is the new demand line.

EDIT: i made the screenshot 5min to early : .as i made the screenshot the first point wasnt valid becos the last candle didnt close. but now its valid
