OAPDave 1 minute or 5 minute trading is the best you can do for training - on a demo account for example

even if you are managing your portfolio as a Swing trader on a weekly or monthly timeframe

why because you do not have to wait weeks or months to check your assumptions, forecasts etc

This way you will see ever and ever the same patterns, draw the same conclusion

do not forget to make every day your "post-mortem" analysis it is also the second best way to understand the methodology and its limits and to make progress

Do like this method just have to trade the flow, but with the indicator I am using just need to be bigger than 256, 128,32, so I am just hunting for a good fit

on a Daily basis 32, 128 and 256 work too very well for all finacial instrument. I am a very recent day trader

you can add a 6 year Envelope on a very long term data serie 6 x 256 = 1536

XAUUSD Hourly : i use octave 125 /8 = 15.625 for 256 ; 7.81 for 128 and 3.9 for 32 Moving average .

Do you think it is a correct Hurst /Gann setting ??

Yes indeed !

I stick to the "theory" when I can . But those of you who could have problems to implement decimals can round the numbers to 16 / 8 / 4.

They would have no difference in their analysis

there is a pdf of hurst book in my profile and i recommend chapter 4

also price action understanding is key too.
where does banks etc buy and sell....how do they operate.

may i kindly suggest you do your home work with innercircletrader ( ict )

and dave lol trading m1 and m5 is not the way to trade like our friend clive suggests lol

dave i would say your 3rd picture inpost 496 when you stated entry in here lol that would be entry of 62 to 79% on the fibs......premium price offered

Just a thought? using one setting to see a Daily, Weekly and around a Monthly Channel just by changing timeframes !

OAPDave sorry I do not understand your question

I notice that

- for a daily chart you use an Octave Gap of 15,3 pips ,
- 30,5 pips for a weekly chart ( you Double the scaling for 5 times more points on your screen)
- 122,1 pips for a monthly chart - you Double 2 Times the scaling for 5 or 6 times more points on you screen

Then as I have shown many times as soon you have determined what you call an Octave Gap, you just have to use its Harmonics to deal with expansion or contraction of Price Action

Opps sorry forgot to remove my Murrey Grid, I do not have your Centered Moving Avg Indicator so using a Regression Indicator, looking to find good Directional Bias then zoom down for good strong entries with small stops and hopefully aim for decent R/R trades
