H1 Outlook Quick Update

Once we are aware that we will have a gap-high, I quickly updated previous chart as follows. Focus area now between 1.2233 and 1.2295 (including gap close)..

Do you remember how many times he said he wants the dollar much lower than what it was? So far, to me at least, he is one of the most...let's call him influential instead of powerful, to avoid politics debate or to avoid people calling me trump supporter. It's really amazing to me, really!

Ah the gap conversation ,,,,,, Just a word of caution to those contemplating or thinking gap closes almost always happen ,,,,,,Refresh your memory before deciding too over leverage or even take a trade based on that ,,. Go back to 4/21/17 and look , and look good ,,,,,,,, the skeletal remains of many accts are now not even dust in the wind ,,,,,,,, Two things there,, a gap and it was a gap above the daily 200sma ,,,,,,will it get closed,,,,,,maybe some day but it wont be till its back below the daily 200sma . Gaps ruin many accts no matter how they are played and the daily 200 sma is oft passed off as nothing to concern yourself with anymore ,,,cheers and wishing all a great week

That's why I don't keep trades over the weekend. The cost of placing a new trade on Sunday is to me an insurance expense, cheap indeed. Given that I have seen gaps of more than 200pips

Don't trade the gap fill bro, i have bigger targets in mind. I can see that u read my posts with much attention! Appreciate it!

Lower dollar makes for easier exporting and harder importing ,, would say its probably better than he was hoping for my friend ,

I was about to drop a similar post... gaps? we still have the one from last year starring at us like 'you still don't believe me huh'

You are probably much smarter than me, i shouldn't be holding over the weekend either, especially if downtrend isn't confirmed. But what can i do? If i get crazy ideas i can't not act on them. That would be crazy! If this makes new highs i really got lucky to escape with only stop loss taken.

First back to 1.2250 area.. I am not talking about gap close.. it is only that case where we need a swing low to swing higher.. meaning: we will look to buy the dips..

Mr T has made no secret that he favors a weak dollar

he wants to bring manufacturing back to the US , and he's been claiming during his campaign that he would declare China a currency manipulator once in office

now that he's in office , it should come as no big surprise that he favors a weak dollar just as the Chinese favor a weak Yuan

China has become a big manufacturing country and a big exporter favoring a weak exchange rate , now Mr T wants to bring factories back to the US , and a weak USD exchange rate is part of that plan

this does not mean to pile up longs on EurUsd , but does provide a background as to what to expect from US policy

I'm a bit confused as to how much of this gap is SPD vote and how much is the US gov shutdown. You can see the gap on UJ was far less, so would it be reasonable to say most of the gap was because of SPD vote?

Do you guys expect E/U to go up or down once the shutdown is resolved? In 2013 it seemed like there was little initial reaction, and e/u actually rose a lot after it was resolved, so it seems strange that there be a large gap up because of shutdown with expectations of it going down once its resolved.

You can't tell. Every market scenario is different, there is no relationship between the previous shutdown and this one. The market may react differently to the same stimuli.
