You can notice that very few people have commented or asked questions on the explanations I posted here - same on the Quad candle system thread on Murrey

Hence I used this thread mainly as a depository in order to keep all my posts at the same place

I think you know your stuff and you show a lot that I would like to learn and understand a little better, I have the Official Murrey software but as I have seen no one else post it's screenshot I accept that guys would want to see it in MT4 format hence when I post its in MT4 format, so I think this applies to you as most guys on here post their charts in the MT4 format to, perhaps we all could pick your method up a little quicker if in some way we could reproduce your charts in MT4

OAP Dave problem is I am totally illiterate in MT4 - unfortunately

up to now I stick to what I have done and to the software I master a little

IMHO if you can adapt yourself the basics and the concepts to MT4 - you will learn a lot by doing it much more than by using something pre-cooked

You are right I never saw anybody posting a chart issued from Murrey's software. in almost 20 years !

Why ? because Murrey's software is inadapted to my needs, your needs, our needs

It was already the case in 2000 and a guy developped something on IB as far as I can remember. They had a forum and it was a very interesting place at the time. But the data provider changes suddenly something and the program became ineffective

For the rest I never saw a long term thread where guys were using Murrey's / Gann concepts and principles in a practical day to day way

main subject was how to build MML's not how to trade them consistently and profitably with step by step explanations

Unfortunately Mastermind way of doing is much too complex for beginners (and for me) hence he just talks with himself or posts for himself - Why not ?

This one seems to be at an interesting level, any advice for a trade ? I guess to look for a Sell ?

NZDUSD 1 Month / 30 minutes

Previous 5 Days / 5 minutes Envelopes parameters have been DOUBLED

Previous 1 Month / 30 minutes Envelopes parameters have been DOUBLED

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to answer but could you just expand a little on your statement as to when if at any time you would short ?

Let's summarize :

a) it is a 1 Year graph - it shows a stable trend : since one year Price action fluctuates within the Envelope 256 TU (brown). Amplitude is 2 x 0.025 D = 0.05 D This status can change but not at short notice.

As for now the Underlying Trend (sum of all cycles whose duration is higher than 256 Days) is flat, neutral . The concept is from Jim Hurst

b) as nothing is perfect, in real market life Price Action does not always end spot on the Envelopes limits

returning to Hurst - if the underlying trend is UP - Price Action Target is often overshoot
if the underlying trend is DOWN - Price Action target is most often undershoot

as the Underlying trend is flat - we can use the concept / tool of Gann : lost motion

you can identify the lost motion with the circled zone in green above the Upper Limit of the Envelope 256 TU (brown) and in red under the Lower Limit of the Envelope 256 TU (brown)

as you see as the trend was Up Price Action ended 3 times ABOVE the Upper Limit of the Envelope 256 TU

Hence to initiate a Short Position I will wait the reversal after Price Action touching the Upper Limit or the reentry in the Envelope 256 TU in case of a 4 th lost motion
