We do not have the proof of such an area until it has shown a reaction there.
For me, the fresher it is, the more accurate it is, although it works on basically all time scales.
If you think about it, it is common sense. Order gets placed, price reacts but full order was not filled. That same buyer/seller, than manipulates the price back to limit where another chunk, or the rest of the order gets filled.
Often, what goes up fast, also comes back down fast and vica versa, that is the manipulation. A buyer needs to get people selling and the big boys can control this easily;
