Not real yet. Still learning to trade. But I must say that Mouteki is by far the strategy best suited to my style and personality.

I think I'll use IBFX when I do go live.

Sorry for my typo error due to long time never practice mathematic assignment. Yes I really mean angle of the trend.

In fact the intersection of the trends together with their angle or slope can give us the overview of the price direction. As mouteki said before it is all about the supply and demand issue where balancing game or each country need to stablise their currency is the daily activities. Hence any price near the intersection or around it is the most uncertain direction ( look like chao theory ).

It is possible to hit 1.8895 in zone D which is much beyond than as projected using mouteki strategy. But it can't happen under normal situation and even any major news announcement will not hit more than 200pips ( exclude those angry spike done by the crazy trader ).

Does anybody here trade the GBP/CHF? It just broke the TL for a short. About a 67 pip projection, this pair likes to trend strong, if anybody has any insight to this pair I would appreciate their feedback.

I have never traded this pair, but it does appear to be a sell according to Mouteki.

However, it seems like the projection method Mouteki posted about the consolidation, he said if the highest bar hits the supply line, then it is consolidation so use the next highest. Maybe I misunderstood this, but if I am right, I get +53, not +67.. Maybe someone else can help???

This setup doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy. It could go up, could go down.

Agreed. Looks "iffy" to me. The daily looks bullish. I like to see 4 hr and Daily going the same way...

I also saw this trade however declined since I am already long USDCHF from earlier in the week. Not to mention the 12 point spread which brings profit down to 48 points and loss up to 42 points. So on this one the number don't look good.

Hi all,

I'm pretty sure i'm doing this right, but any help the math would be appreciated.

Example 1:

Pair: GBP / USD ( 4 pip spread)
Projection: 80 pips, less spread, so actual projection is 76 pips from open of candle below/above trendline

Stoploss: 40 pips, plus spread, so actual stoploss is 44 pips from open of candle below/above trendline

So actual RR: 1:1.73

Example 2:

Pair: GBP / USD ( 4 pip spread)
Projection: 180 pips, less spread, so actual projection is 176 pips from open of candle below/above trendline

Stoploss: 60 pips, plus spread, so actual stoploss is 64 pips from open of candle below/above trendline

So actual RR: 1:2.75

Do I have this all straight?

Here is a real life example: I calculated the price projection on my NZD/USD trade to be 83 pips. My spread on the pair is 5 pips, so I set my take profit at 78 pips. I was actually taken out with only 73 pips. What did I do wrong?

I thought I read somebody say they add the spread to the profit projection, but I would do exactly as you did. Not sure your question about the real life, unless you just put the limit number wrong since when you sell it uses the bid and the buy back uses the ask.. Not sure...

Can the 1st or 2nd candle high/low be used for the price projection calculation? Or does the high/low used in this calculation need to be between the trendline points?

I cannot find a clear answer in the Mouteki document, maybe I missed it somewhere in there or maybe its already been addressed in the thread but with 99 pages and counting its pretty hard to find!

For instance in this image can the 2nd point be used to calculate a price projection of about 50 pips, or I do I need to use a bar that falls between (but not including) the points that connect the demand/supply line?

I use the fractals indicator that comes with MT4 to label the highs and lows then I manual draw the trendlines from that. It was suggest earlier in the post to help us out.

My understanding it isn't really between the points, but between 2nd point and the actual break of trendline. I would not use the 2nd point you are referring to, however if the break occurs after the 1st point and the 1st point was the high, I would use it.. Does that make sense? I may be wrong though, but that is what I understand.

I should also say you have the slope of the line wrong anyway. The demand line slope should go the other way.

Thanks for the info. I was really just wondering based on the rules of the system if you can use the candles/bars which determine 1st and 2nd points of the trendline as references to calculate the price projection or if this calculation needs to be done from bars that fall between the 1st and 2nd bars that determine the trendline endpoints.
