I have made up an indicator that shows arrows for entry using the TDI cross and the HA candle. The arrow is not re-drawing and is placed on the preceding bar to entry.
So it will display at the open of a new bar on the previous bar. There is a setting to use kinks and to use yellow conservative entry.

The image below shows arrows where a TDI cross has occurred above yellow for up/green arrow and with a HA change of colour to blue. Same but reverse for red arrow.

Uses DTI_RT and Synergy_apb files which should be in the MQL/Indicators folder.

Please let me know if you think this indicator is not accurate.

{quote} Hi Jeff, Very different charts to the usual TMS Charts on this thread! What system and indicators are you using? What is similarity to Big E's System? Please respond with details for everyone's knowledge. Cheers! Sachu

This should be exactly Big E's TDI strategy from when this post started many many moons ago. It seems to have morphed a couple times over the years. Enter on the second candle once the TDI crosses and the stoch confirms. I think the only thing that differs is the 5ma I use a +3 and -3 offset when they meet its an indication of a trend change.

Jeff
You certainly got it right. First time that I see a member improve BigE's TMS by adding a extra indicator.
It will help a lot of new members to avoid false TDI cross over.
However for those that want to use it, you better study the 5EMA cross thoroughly before blindly following it.
Make a list of what you see and how it does interact with TDI and Stoch
- that some cross are before or after the TDI cross.
- bands contract when candles are small
- bands far apart in strong trend
- consolidation bands are almost strait line

You are going to get a lot question's how you use it, Jeff.
Thanks for posting.

Why is everyone so helll bent about mathematical computations ( indicators)That always trail price. If you have trouble locating if trend is up or down why not look at HHHL or LLLH. Also if you trade large frames unless you have a large acct you will always be a nickel and dime trader. That's ok but you will never make a living doing that but if you all are hobby traders disregard this post carry on like your doibg

Forgetting something. Some member's that end up here do not know what is HHHL or LLLH. They read "Trading Made Simple". The word "simple" draw them like a bee to honey. How many times have you read "Where must I put the indicator"

Hi,
just want to share an update of my script for handling SR-lines. This tool enables you to prepare your Big Picture Plan in a separate chart, store the resulting SR-Lines and then import them in your trading chart. Even accross multiple MT4 installations.

See my post with the previous version for more info:
https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...8#post10493918

Attached File(s)
File Type: ex4 SR-Lines Store v1.02.ex4   34 KB | 221 downloads

This time I changed the export functions:

  1. Exports a separate file for the current Symbol and Timeframe.
This is handy for sharing files with others.
  2. Then appends these entries to the common file "SRLines.csv".
This file will now contain data from several symbols and timeframes.

Feel free to try, and propose improvements for next version.
Cheers...

another reversal type of entry arrow?

Synergy Pro TDI places a lot more arrows in its sub-window.

how about placing an symbol "x" for where to exit?

are we losing our main focus on the Price and it action?

Like Tekkies said, new traders are attracted here because they need indicators to see market direction. Even racing drivers once held L plates on their cars once. Indicators help develop the learning process so should be applauded not dismissed by smart ass know alls that just want to show of there naked chart expertise. Luckily for us it’s just there naked charts only they want to flash here.
Indicators work provided the trader is aware of their limitations and for me it just saves me time, especially if it comes with an alert. I don’t trade full time so any time saving alert system to notify me of a possible trade on the 21 pairs I trade is gold.

So, here's the thing...trading can't be looked at in a linear fashion. First you have price movement, up and down, obviously. Price tends to gravitate toward certain price points - hence support and resistance. The other element you need to look at is volume which creates velocity and momentum. There isn't a true volume indicator for forex, but there are plenty of velocity/momentum indicators.

For me, price action candlestick patterns/analysis, and support and resistance are the absolute essentials...but if it wasn't for the MACD histogram, I wouldn't be winning as much as I do now. I trade divergence, only...and win...a lot. The MACD histo is the icing on the cake, and I won't trade without it.
I'm a seasoned trader for years.
Just my 2 cents.

Happy Trading,

-Dr. Ninja

no problem. First I don't trade forex that's a suckers game with fx brokers making a ficticious market but here is todays trading the left hand corner is daily profit. I use market profile to show levels where price found lots of volume and I look for setups around these levels. I trade pullbacks to supply and demand area with the trend I also use 123 and 2b pattens to identify direction market is going if you need more charts just ask politely

Calm down Diva.

Thank you for your chart here and NOW I appreciate your trading skills because you are showing us something of value that may help us. You are explaining your methods and willing to share your years of trading experience. I understand you must get frustrated with all us NEWBIES trading of silly and useless indicators in your eyes. One day if I could be half the trader you are, I would say almost the same thing and warn new traders about the lagging issues they inherently provide.

The different is I would me polite and respectful of traders.
