sometimes it takes 15 minutes..sometimes hours. +20ticks..ready to up the size a bit..

got butt raped by Nikkei. actually could've been a b/e day. initially went long in the short trend, but then took a nice short around 22260, but wanted to see if a trend would form. And then the assholes decided to run the price up this morning.
then took a short of ES just to make myself feel better
-$13,000...what is that a used subaru? o well, back to grinding up $1000-2000 days..if i can catch a nice trend between now and 12/22 (when i plan to stop for the year)..that would be nice.

Does not your brain collapse when you see that you lose 13,000?
but one week..eh. it's just a grind 1-2k days. the key is hold on to 1-2 trades for that trend. just as i can take the loss, i'm developing the mindset to hold on to the occasional big wins..

if you can accept losses, you can accept winners. if you can withstand large DD, you need to withstand holding on to big winners.simple as that.
i always take my trading back to my poker trading. if i got a bad beat previous hand, am i gonna play AA the next hand like a pussy? no. i'm gonna make sure i trap or just bet strong with it.
previous trade (hands) have no bearing on current trade. when you have a good trade, hold that shit.

So i'm doing something little different starting this week. Trading NQ for one..cause it's such a nice volatile market. I know i've said in the past about how stable ES is, but you have to get the right entries and if not, your chances for recovery is limited
With NQ, i'm breaking my positions up a bit due to volatility. and when i'm wrong i have plenty of opportunities to recover (most days).
Another change is I'll be wihtdrawing every 2 weeks (like my job, every 2 weeks). My goal is 10k a month. in fact, i'm going to start a new thread in 2018 just to document pnl/ withdrawals made.

been shorting and shorting..until about 6394. then market just took the hell off. it paused around 3:15pm cst, why is this? then resumed at 3:30. I know it's not market close..but some minor break in exhcange.
after 3:30pm , price took off again
