Has anybody ever tried risking 100 pips on a trade ?
With the market been so up and down if your stop was 100 pips away from entry, it would come into profit more times than not. A stop could be brought up to breakeven when the trade was in profit.
I often find tight stops can cause trades to be stopped out only to return higher later.

Any ideas ???
You only have to get rich once.

I fully agree with you. I have been trying this for months and getting good results. I can add to this. If I see my trade was wrong I have no hesitation in closing the trade in 35/40 pip loss. But I was never stopped out for 40 pips spike which is normal for stop hunt in cable.

Don't know how to fix. Easy to find though, just scroll down list of threads in the main discussion forum until you find the thread titled Query: Moving Stops to Breakeven.

Short answer YES and often this ends to be my best trades…

Forex is not a market with a bull bias like stocks. I would say that to win in the long term it is more on how to manage a position rather than finding (guessing) the direction of a short term move.

If I am caught wrong and did not cut after -20/-30 points then I will take a new line at next resistance and so on until I make a realistic average. (up to 4 to 5 lines) and 90% of the time market makes a consolidation and I can make good money out of it.
