yes i think using vb+30 would save you from the loss pips. btw did you close early on thursday basket?

just want to share the demo that I ran this week using weekly FT lv2. i didnt have screenshot of last week results but it was positive too.

Yes, I have set close time each day to 20:45 GMT. For VB I only run it until it hits -200 which would have been SL.

Hi minigan for the VB I normally give it a few hours to trigger, but if after 3-4 hours I see that it is still in DD and hasn't triggered I will stop the VB, also if I see that the VB is -200 I'll stop it right away as clearly the trend is in the other direction.

Yes my TF + FF L4 basket did very well. As I'm trading it on live account I don't shoot for monster pips, anything over 500 pips for the week I'm happy and I take my profit and run lol.

Your FT basket did well. I remember testing that set up a while ago in the beginning, but I think according to my data it was outperformed by TF and FF.

Good work mrdfx! Just a question, when you say weekly basket, do you just open one per week or as some people here do, they open one basket each for tue wed thursday based on the weekly signals? Just want to clear up the definition of weekly basket here in this thread

Hi benjamintoh8 by weekly basket I mean I open on a Monday and close on Friday, although I hardly get to close by Friday as I normally close my basket before then from hitting the target.

The weekly basket that started today (11:00 GMT) already closed with -200 pips on both FF and FT with Oanda Demo.

I'll try to see if Tuesday is a better day due to the weekly trend having formed a bit during Monday.

thanks! so you use the vb for your weekly baskets too I presume? FF setting as well?

Yes I use a 50 pip upper trigger for my weekly VB. Basic settings are W1, TF + FF, L4 open on Monday.

minigan's settings are a little different to mine, and you can read back a few pages about the specifics of his settings he uses.

thanks! one more final dumb question, you mentioned TF and FF, it's not possible to load both into a basket , so I assume you open 2 baskets ya ?

I load 2 indicators on the same chart, and the EA will monitor both.

My weekly basket just closed as it hit the "profit lock" I used the default settings in profit lock other than my setting of 50% profit lock once pip gain is more than 200pips. It seemed abit underwhelming to end the week at 125pips and so soon in the week My other settings are weekly, TF, Level 2 , SL 1000 and TP 1000pips respectively and GMT 11 open on monday.

What would you advice? Do you use profit lock as well? p.s, ignore the percentages as i have other trades running

I have started experimenting with profit lock on some of my baskets although I will say that I'm still learning how to master it. My other baskets I use a normal TP & SL. The profit lock is something new for me so I don't know if I'm doing it right either lol.

Perhaps there are some guys who can give better answers with regards to profit lock.
