Rambo you need a new mission. My opinion on water and it's properties alone will likely mean you are on in for a long wait. Some apprentices used to be sent off for a long weight, tartan paint too.

No problem. Only issue, you were so adamant the guy I had referred to who wrote to a manufacturer was lying out of his arse based on a video you watched which is clearly flawed in what he is trying to demonstrate. So does that make you any better than the flat earthers you have so much vitriol for ?

So when you consider that not all gyros have pendulous vanes and a gyro having 3 planes of movement maintains an axis in space and not to the surface of the earth, what can we deduce from that ? We also know that it is very likely that Focault did lie through his arse and highly likely that he never witnessed drift but like most of this stuff the battle will rage on for some.

I see we onto sausage talk.... now we're talkin'! I'm more Cumberland too, Lincolnshire are bit too herby for me. My local butcher makes marvelous Pork and Red onion. Very high meat content and nut just full of rusk and crap.

Have you come across Andouillette, a traditional French sausage made from pigs intestines which smells like an overflowing hole in the ground?

He was lying out out of his arse. All modern artificial horizons have this mechanism in to account for forces including the curvature of th earth.

Try the sausages from the local Christmas markets @ Liverpool, I imagine they have similar stalls as the ones in Manchester - a good 10 inch bratwurst in about 4 different flavours, on a bun with bunions & mustart - delicious!

He asked specifically does the gyro have a mechanism to account for curvature, they said no. Look at the way the instrument is used.

I see you chose to ignore what I said about doing the same thing as you accuse "Flat earthers" of.

The modern gyros don't have the mechanism for the reason you state. You have been mislead. It is a righting mechanism to return the rotor to level, nothing more. The reason it was added was to make that process more efficient with sudden tumbles and manouvres. Look at how the instrument is used properly and you will see what you are saying is wrong.
All instructions on flight gyro's state not to rely on the instrument until artificial horizon is back to level. That is it's sole purpose. To keep the aircraft level. So it maintains the same axis. What that guy did in the video was stupid and you know it. It was like having a plane sitting on a runway with a cross sectional deviation of 20+ degrees and caging it before take off. It just would not happen and any pilot would not trust that AH until it was horizontal with the instrument case. That is the whole idea. The fact it took so long to cage was due to him releasing the spring at 20 + degrees. Fact is a pilot would not do that and would not release the cage spring until he saw the AH close to level with the instrument case. It's function is to provide a rigid axis in space and independent of the earth's surface. How is it that a pilot can cage his AH take off maintain altitude and not have to touch the cage again ? So the pilot takes off his AH is referenced to the level he takes off from, he gets to altitude levels off again from his original reference point and maintains that level. The mechanism does not work in reverse. It does not adjust the axis if it is already level, that is the whole idea of it.

Also examine your argument about "Modern" gyro's. So the in flight gyro's prior to 1942 that didn't have pendulous vanes how did they account for curvature ? They didn't have these magic correcting vanes so how did the pilot's manage ? It is because it is the primary function that is important and that is to maintain level. I keep saying this about the word level. Level means level not curved.

Rambo you seem hell bent on wanting me to admit the earth is a ball for some reason. I really think it's you who has so much invested in this, that you want to protect your ball so much you keep firing this crap at me. I trust my senses on this issue and that's that. You can keep throwing stuff at me and maybe some things I can answer and some I can't but it won't change my views over what my senses tell me. So you can carry on pissing in the wind if you like.

i don't have th energy to reply to your essay. If you think you know better than an actual pilot, and don't say he isn't a pilot, it's quite clear from his hundreds of videos, his flight plans that he talks through, his offers to take flat earthers on flights over Antarctica (which no one will take him up on) and his in cockpit videos, not to mention his that he is indeed a pilot, then you are an even bigger fool than I thought you were.

Your video which you had all your hopes were pinned on was junk and you had to back down on how it actually operates, is more like the truth, you relied on it just like you accuse other flat earthers of doing the same thing.

I don't give a shit what he is he can be pilot or whatever. I know plenty of people who use tools and all kinds of instruments and don't have a clue how they work because they don't need to.
Go and ask him why he needs oceanic clearance.

I would not say Stu is a fool Rambo. There was an entire religion who executed people who would dare to claim the earth was round, or that the earth was not the center of the universe. Stu is just a simple(not as a pejorative) man who relies on his senses as a guide to the world. Science and astronomy has no place in his lexicon. The sun is round, the moon is round, the other planets are round, but the earth is flat. He is not a fool, he is deluded. That is not a name, it is a condition. And yes, Stu, you are quite deluded if you really think the earth is flat.

No I didn't win anything I haven't been playing a game. You thought you would come in here and with your smart arse mental assessment comments and your own reliance on a video you didn't understand has back fired on you and of course the again you have to resort to how much of a fool I am. I have never made any claims as to your metal capacity because I don't have the knowledge to do that. Your agenda was never to discuss, it was to try and ridicule and cast mental aspersions.

Again your sarcasm about me foiling the elaborate hoax is silly. From the off I have only ever said about my issue with water curving and gravity. I said way back if that makes me a flat earther then so be it. I didn't label myself as a flat earther other than the issues I had. You chose to make this your mission to try and make me look stupid, you may have succeeded, I don't really give a shit.

You are right it is delusion. Brought on by cognitive dissonance. Allowing yourself to think that the government is lieing on such grand scheme has the effect of discrediting their authority and gives a refreshing although false sense of liberation.

Of course when you say round you meant sphere or spherical. The earth can be flat and round but not flat and spherical.

Both happen to be true. Did you really think I would run from that statement? It is biology, plain and simple. But because biology is a science, and you do not believe in that, we will have disagreements, which is why the RH exists.

Every time I go to the supermarket I have a look at the Gressinghams and if they're a good size (2.3kg+) I stock up. They are all quite puny of late. The French use very different specis to us; not sure what they are, maybe mallards? The meat is much more red and rich like ostrich meat, rather than the grey meat we have. Every time in France I stock up - I have a fridge /freezer for the car, plugs into a socket in the boot so I have a good stock always of nice French duck breasts which are huge. Lovely cooked medium rare like a steak with a peppercorn sauce served with salad and chips.
