Anyhow. I plan to start trading again with the vanilla version (for those that are new, vanilla means the simplest settings based on the pg1 golden rules), which allowed me to double an account back in May 2017. The gmt time is taken from your local clock minus the delta hour u are behind or in front GMT.
What the EA uses is an mt4 function called TimeGMT(). Look it up and u will see how the definition. i doubt that they miscalcilated it.
For in case there is a bug.. show me your gloval variables for the local and broker gmt shifts. Hit F3 and look for xm7_localGMTShift and xm7_brokerGMTShift. Tell me that values that i see. I assume u are in gmt time, correct? Then your local shift should be 0.

I am using the latest.. for now.. and only setting the essential inputs.

Lol..you got it right. But if anyone wants they can use that older version. dont see an issue as long as u dont try to do anything fancy with the inputs.

Oh btw instead of Monfay i will be trying Tuesday 7 gmt. Had someone testing this and turned out that Tuesday start yielded more consistent results.
So i will be verifying this.

Hi xmess7,

I've tried your settings and vb not yet triggered (around -500 pips). I think, Vb is very much useful in these times. Tomorrow I'll check it again. Already I'm using weekly FF L2 with VB +30 settings and it works good for me. Thanks for your hard work

Benz:
If u are setup for weekly the vb will only trigger on the day u selected. So depending which day, you may not see it trigger for the resr of rhe week.

btw i will not be using the vB myself .

Yes. You are correct. If VB is not triggered on tuesday, I stopped the ea for that week. I don't know whether it is correct or not. Thanks for giving us VB even though you didn't use it

This is what happens when you are using the Weekly setting with the Vb.
Like you said when the day and open hour happens the EA will turn on the vB. Then the EA will wait till the vB is triggered. If it is triggered then the EA will look for the TP/SL or ProfitLock to close the basket. Otherwise if during that day the vB is not triggered, on the new GMT day, the EA will remove the vB. Then the EA will wait till next week to again turn on the vb at the indicated open time and day.

So you don't need to turn off the EA if you don't need to.

What a great EA you have developed here. Thank you too all that have contributed to this awesome thread. The only question I have is about the Profit Lock. I am currently using Trade Monitor v37.7.7, and it seems that when the Profit lock activates, it closes out all of my positions. Is this the way it is suppose to work? Or is it suppose to close out partial positions? Just curious. I mean I have zero complaints with what I have achieved so far.

Hi. I think the combination of trailing stop and individual stop loss caused your basket to be closed too early. In addition 40 pips trail stop is kinda tight. What also could of ahappened was that as pairs were closed due to their individual SLs, this affected the overall basket pips to get lower. So that then affected the overall profit lock and perhaps made the basket fall below the trigger and thus close thebasket.

We never tested the ea with all of the features u activated cause it was not intended to be used like that.

On the other hand u basically have a safe way of getting profit too lol

Hi 4xu2. Yep the profit lock is like a trailing stop.. except it uses the percent of the pips to determine where the level will be placed. Once the total pip count of the basket falls to that level or just below it, the EA closes the basket.

Hey guys, great job with the thread and Xmess7 what a work you've done! I am kind of late to the party so, although I have read the first 20 and the last 10 pages, I can't figure our some things. Could you help me a bit cause I'll have to go through 600 pages in order to collect all the golden nuggets?

Firstly, the instructions on the 2nd post of the 1st page do not exist anymore. I got the bigger picture form bits and parts of other posts but I am not sure I got it all.

Secondly, what are the current optimal settings after all those months of testing - Times, SL/TPs, time offsets etc.

Third, I see some of you go intraday, some keep it weekly because they say it is the most efficient after all. Can you shed some insight on this also?

I have set everything up on my MT4 demo, so I think I am ready to test.

Quick question, if the basket is set to run and it is using the virtual basket and the vb has been triggered, if my computer loses its internet connection and comes back it does not seem like the vb picks up or continues to track. Is this the way it is supposed to react or is there something I have set wrong?
