Yeah, waiting for the GREEN TDI to cross the red, and stochastic to turn blue.

But have to wait until 5PM to enter if it’s a legit entry! Let’s see how later !

hehe, Please confirm me.
when next candle open and TDI give exit signal. We immediately exit the trade or wait for that candle to close.

BTW I get some confused by #post53
Did you also exit while candle still moving? I thought that we should wait for the candle to close to confirm the TDI signal.

Hi Kaimot,

For a more conservative entry, it is best to wait for the candle to close. However, I often get into position as soon as TDI crosses (has to be an obvious cross). While it is moving, if the TDI turns flat, I close the position to cut loss OR bag some pips first. And then, I will look for another entry opportunity if the TDI bounced off the red TDI.

You can read Eelfranz's thread for more information. He says it is better to cut loss and look for another opportunity to re-enter into the market. :-)

Thanks for starting this thread, TidalSurf. Keen to learn this method of collecting pips daily. I'd like to check with you on whether you wait for news before you trade? For example, today there was major GBP, USD news which would have affected GBPUSD and USDCAD.

Hey TheNavigator,

You can call me by my name, Kenny. hehe.

If I were to hold H4 trade, I don't really pay attention to news this is because I had my stop loss in place.
If I were to trade M30/H1, I will stay out of news (RED NEWS).

I have been in serious flu since yesterday, so I haven't pay much attention to the chart today... Mostly just holding trades in the H4 timeframe. :-)

It is 11:28 PM here in Malaysia, I have closed 3 positions:

NZDUSD -14 pips
GOLD + 390 pips (equivalent to 39 pips)
AUDUSD +12

Total +37 pips today.

I still have 2 position running though... USDJPY (DAILY) and USDCAD (H4) - both of them SHORT.
Also, I am aware that theres an FOMC news coming up at 2AM malaysia time, but I am not going to do anything about it...
Why? Again, because I am trading in the H4 timeframe. :-)

My backtest result shows me that this TMS by Eelfranz system works fantastic in H4 and D1.
If you are a beginner in this system, make sure to do your backtest on D1 first. After that, continue doing backtest in H4.
The magic is within these 2 timeframes.

I am still testing out H1/M30 though. Not very profitable, but at least in the end of the day, I always end up with green pips. :-)

***Update

USDCAD +24 pips. Closed as TDI was flat for a moment before the new H4 candle hehe.

Total for yesterday + 51 pips

Will be back at 12:50 to look for opportunity in H4 again...

On the side note, that FOMC news doesn't gives the market a huge boost... :-(

Goodmorning, am thinking about the backtest how can we get it accurate if there is no hard tp and stoploss used. But we get out of position when the trade turn for us.

I also surgest that you put a risk disclaimer in your first post saying something like trading like you or following you is on own risk etc.......

Doing a visual backtest following the rules should show you what you are looking for.

BTW, SL is clearly defined (last swing) ... and exit at your own discretion (TP, TDI flat, etc ...).

Backtesting is exactly to find out what will work best for you.
