CCFp weekly signals (set and forget basket trading)

Yes I saw that on my demo account. I got SL'ed a few minutes before the CAD news. Again, it's a lesson that I need to stick to the trading rules. I think your suggestions to use a 30 upper level VB can help to see if the basket is going to the right direction.

Also it shows that even with a few trading pair suggestions can reach the TP of 400 pips.

Now I am curious whether tomorrow trading can reach TP as well

As an option - try changing the start time of the xm7 expert, for example an hour(your) +2 minutes.

Didn't trade Monday. Today's results: I usually close in the morning if I have a good profit.

You could have banked a lot more pips if you had not closed so early. I see you closed minigan's basket at 150 pips and it actually hit TP.

My weekly basket closed today hitting TP of 1000 pips. Opened yesterday 10:05 GMT. 1000 pips in less than 2 days..

Don't let fear make you close early. Let the baskets run, we have 5 days to trade the baskets, closing out so early can limit your potential earnings.

Proof of concept...

Hi, please forgive me for asking a "stupid question," but, do you have to take ALL the trades listed at once?. Or, are these trades taken individually, based on the signals?.

Hi Northwind , yes , traders like us at GMT minus ( we are a bunch) ..are having sometimes problems to have the Xm7 to open basket ( real or VB) at an established timing. I could fix this problem ( 95% of the time ) doing this :

a) clean your Global Variables cluster everyday while in MT4 press Fn 3 ( function 3) . There will be a "box" opened where you can see all the "garbage" accumulated during former day/days .... Beware that you do not have any strategy/ea running at this time ..they might lost their track/map.

b) start / open basket time at 07:03 or 07:08 or 8:12 or whatever your timing BUT never use xx:00, xx:10 or multiples of 5 min's .. this is because I could spot that depending of the refresh of your indi or indi's , they will refresh at 5/15/30/60 min and beyond..sometimes at the hour candle closing ..you can figure out that TF ( time frame) 30 is closing its candle also , so does the TF30 , TF15 and the TF5 minutes ...so, it might affect Xm7 internal clock at some point.

Note1 : I could see this happening live several times : example while setting your daily basket opening at 01:00 GMT ...
you are let say at 00:58 GMT , Broker time is 03:58 and you watch .... broker time goes to 03:59 and few seconds later gmt 00:59 is displayed ....they should switch att he same time ..BUT THEY DON'T ....( unknown reason) ...your heart is beating loudly ( lol) because we are at few seconds to open the winner basket of all times ..then ..here we go : you see broker time "clocking" 04:00 ..then 10/15 sec later your GMT clock sets to 01:00 GMT ...then ....nothing happen ..NOPE.
..you wait ...you wait ..time is ticking , your charts are ticking ...and the F basket do not open ...well , broker time changed
to 04:01 ..GMT to 01:01 ..and flat ..nada happen , basket not opened . I DO think this was because of 00:00 / 00:05 ( 5 minutes multiples setup's )
Note2: how to check if everything is ok for the London Opening : first check again if the non sleep settings on your pc does not leave some dormant HD or dormant cpu settings.ok. Try a real basket trigerring , squeezing Ccfp settings to level 6 or 7
on 1440/D1 240/H4 60/H1 to have only 1 or 2 pairs left in the crash dummies basket experiment ...when done set you trigger time in 4 or 5 min. ( but alway thinking about I mentioned above ;xx:x3 or xx:x7 gmt) . And ...watch miracle happening.you can both trigger a real one that you close inmediately for few pips loss or trigger a VB.
Note3 : WASH the Global variable cluster - press F3 - delete everything there and you will be ready for LO.

Note 4: if this does not work: shit happen....Fortunately there is toilet paper...clean your logs , all of them expert logs , mt4 logs ...and with the smell of a "bouquet" you should be ready for a ride....

Yes Pasto all at once, Sunday evening after 5 PM EST and then watch it all week.

Another known fenomenon is that some brokers (icmarkets,fbs,traders way i know of) sometimes stop sending ticks for up to a couple of minutes and especially around the H1 turn.
If you look at your market watch time and it happens you can see that clock fi. stop at 02:58 and after a couple of minutes jump to 03:06.
Between that time no ticks have arrived and no bar has been closed (bars are closed on the first tick that arrives with a time outside the range of the current open bar). You have to design an indicator very careful espcially when it uses an internal timer in order not to do calculations on the last closed bar because you could be doing calculations on the bar before. Ok sounds difficult but you get the drift.
Second point is the synchroriisation between the indicator and the EA. If the indicator is in that "limbo" state waiting for the bars to close and the EA starts trading it could be using old selections.
EA that test staring time like starthour==xx and startminute==yy and use broker time or any form of candle time could be not started because the yy (minute) is just not signaled. Minutes could jump from 58 to 03 thus skipping the fi. 02 you set.
It is all in the programming.

Minigans setup-- I decided to close my basket today at 10 pips profit as its stuck in a range this morning awaiting USD news. Already have 400pips this week and not going to risk 200 on 50/50 gamble.

Does anyone know if it is necessary to reset/refresh the EA to get the latest currency pairs to trade or does the ea do that automatically based on whether your trading the daily or weekly settings? I ask because the pairs to trade have not changed this week at all since Monday.

try previous versions. 37.7.6 or 37.7.7
sometimes i ran into the same problem. try changing basket number.

if your settings are weekly (10080).it will stay the same the whole week except for TF and TT since it calculates up to the current trend. but usually minor changes

Thank you for your great, detailed explanation. This explains so much of the mysteries I have seen happening. Tomorrow I will try a random offset for minutes and see the difference it makes. I expect this change will solve the problem.
