Absolutly. This was my first week of trying this method and it worked really well until wednesday. So next time i will use profit lock / SL and maybe the virtual basket.

Keep practicing and testing and you will find what works for you. It will take time and patience but it will be worth it.

Yes you can use 50 for both, that's what I do. The VB upper trigger which you set will take into account both indicators so as the EA is using both so will the VB. Once the VB upper trigger is triggered (50 pips) then the VB will open a live basket.

One of my trade exceeded 800pips plus and I was happy, I even allowed the trade to continue to the next day, but towards the end of the second day, the pips dropped below 500 and I was surprised that the profit lock that lock profit at 644.1 pips failed to stop the trading from dropping to below 450.
The question is, what is it that I am doing wrong and how do I rectify it.

I don’t want to loss 50% of my pips next time, but rather I want to be protecting my pips.

And how to even add to one’s profit if one is away from the PC, for example, let say my TP is either 400 or 500 and the trade is moving strongly in my favour and I am not at home to adjust the TP from those numbers to 700 or 1000

Helps on the right steps to take next time will be welcome from gurus in the house

Hi Ales,

the broker is Lmax. i sent you a pm abt that

a little review abt lmax after been using it a few months, so it'll give a head up before

they do have an mt4 account but you have to requested it before you can use it. the default trading platform is web-based so you have to talk to their customer service and ask to open an mt4 account and transfer to that account. which is quite inconvenient if you plan to deposit or withdraw in a regular basis

abt the mt4, it gives different trading signals that I usually use in demo (icmarkets). As all we know that different brokers give different results..
i personally use icmarkets demo as my trading reference. so far i adjusted the trade level in Lmax to get the same result trade suggestions as icmarkets
for example this week Lmax FF 10080 FF level 3 = Icmarkets FF 10080 level 2. some other weeks Lmax lvl 2 = Icmarkets lvl 2. you just have to keep an eye on that if you want to trade on lvl 2 only

I am planning to switch to Icmarkets in the near future..

okay.. last week I mention about Weekly FF level 2 signals was only giving 6 pairs and Weekly TF level 2 signals were abt 12 pair. I was a lilttle hesistant abt only 6 pairs and decided to go with TF. Oh boy.. 3 straight loss each of total -600 pips. if you go with FF, you would have gain some pips. Credit to ppwest for his results sharing.

Week 42 weekly TF. -600 pips (-566 pips to be exact)
Week 42 weekly FF. +400 pips (https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...4#post10408434) credit n refer to ppwest results

this week I am back with FF.. so yeah.. that is lesson I need to remind myself abt being consistent..

Was your gain of 252.7 pips opened on Tuesday 7am GMT? I went into SL that day, just want to see whether different brokers can have different results as well. I notice that 9am opening isn't that bad.

268 pips to be exact. it hit my trail lock that day.
yes tuesday open 0700 GMT

yes opening at 0900 GMT is also a good idea. opening trade around London open is among people's favorite here

its just my personal preferences. after observing for quite some time... there's usually a pullback after winning 2 baskets in a row
from what i observe. let's say tuesday +400 pips wed +400 pips thursday -200. in some cases.. i saw all 3 days each +400 pips.
that is your call if you want to trade all 3 days tues wed thurs
