long enough to understand the mechanics and basic strategies...then I traded extremely small for quite some time. I couldn't take the risk serious until I had real money on the line...I believe I started with $100.

main difficulty in the game of money are human behaviour and emotional bias. technicals issues are easy to solve with a good mentor.
if you are an already rich psychopath and be lucky enough, you can be a part of the 1% winner.
don't need demo account to long, try a small account until you find your zone of confort.

Hello Aussie,congratulations for your results:-))). I am on demo veerry long time with breaks and i think its not good.But i still didnt found the right strategy,i dont see good results on demo so i dont know if its good idea go in real:-)).I have days that i want to gave up,but after i think ,that i spend too much time study and trying,so i will try it agian and again.But sometimes i think that maybe i am wasting the time and i could do something else:-)).If you you have some tips,what can be helpfull,i will be very thankfull.Ilike heikenashi candles/TMS strategy,D1 charts..Thank you for any opinion:-)

I found trading a demo account useful for:
*. Learning how to use the platform

*. Developing a strategy

*. Developing a daily routine (sleep, exercise, diet, screen time)

*. Feeling emotional during drawdowns and losing trades ( that is why I traded the same size demo account as my real account ).

*. Posting it publicly gave me a feeling of accountability (but because I knew it was a demo I wasn't as attached to the outcome, and didn't feel the losses and drawdowns like in my real account.)

Good for a while only to be proficient in the making trades...
If uses long trem it's produced un healthy habit for live trading... imho.....

over the 25+ years i have traded i have put thousands of indicators on the charts i also read a very lot of books i tossed out the indicators except 2 and most of which is written their is no get rich quick EA or indicator i have colour stoch on my charts and a indicator called flo2 i use 1hr to trade and day chart for trend it is your friend hope this help kindest regards from dave

The areas in red are the important side of trading if you look at the trade pages you will see a constant number of wins before a loss and it is consistent

Some rumors say that the brokers want to create a common database of demo accounts with the purpose of banning from trading those traders that are loosing on demo! Watch out with that big account!!!

try to Join forex free demo competition hosted by trusted & regulated brokers, if you could win the competition then you don't have to use your real money for trading forex.

Q:what is your recommendation for the best online free demo competition with real money in prize?
A: here is one of those, had tested it, won one of the top prizes and got paid after i opened a real account and they injected the winning prize to it

None, only reason to demo is to get familiar with the trading software that's yet. Trade small and live is where you learn.
