Interesting morning. I missed the early move down due to having a workman in the house.

Then long from SMA200, and now a short from 12980. Looks like it's going to be downhill until NY open.

EDIT: Closed just north of 12950 when DJI stopped at 50% of yesterday.

One may also note that SMA100 is rolling over. If today finishes under SMA200 that may spell the end of the uptrend, and D1 may have to update his trading platform with a sell button

DJI is forming a potential top here, turning down from Composite Index divergence.

Scenario played out as expected. DJI failed to stay above yesterday's high, and looks set to close below yesterday's close.

I may be wrong, but the top may just have been made today. Remember - you read it here first

Meanwhile, DAX is hanging out in bull-trap territory, The ominous Friday the 13th will be interesting.

i agree i am thinking topp ish.. i short the asx 200 this morning..based on the way DOW up then closed down.. be looking shorts on dax this oz evening

I see nothing unusual with Dow PA today. Made new high, closed down fractionally for the day slightly below yesterday's close but above yesterday's open and low. And in the globex session this evening all is quiet.

CPI in the morning might give it a jolt, than again it might not.

FTSE - similar to the DAX - has nearly finished the price pattern since sept low.

Whereas I saw a few strong indications of things topping out.

And now, after some very juicy swings, things seems to be settling under Thursday's ominous (to me) high, with short-term charts rolling over south.

Pity I didn't have time to trade this afternoon, but this is promising for Monday

Dow and S&P are unchanged so far. No biggie.

And Nasdaq actually up close to a 0.5%

Of course things can change either way between now and close.
