one week test report

I didn't think I was going to come back because ... well to be honest, I thought God was calling me not to do this because I was to.

However, I am back not in disobedience but I am learning a lesson that I was too obsessed with the money side of the issue and am lessening that and trying to have fun with it. It is not the easiest thing. Money is money at the end of the day. I don't care for it or at least don't think. I'm not too bothered to be honest... I am just a bit OCD when it comes to thinking I could have an EA that is going to make me rich and lose track on the fun I have making the EAs and also doing manual trading.

I am going through a lot of the mql5's free EAs on their website and finding a lot of them rubbish but a few good in backtest. However, forward test is a different result. I struggle to understand how EAs in backtest can look good and not behave similar enough to be near the same in forward test. If anybody has this answer, I would like to know... "other than to know it is a simulated tick"

I've not fully gone back to making EAs yet... just a few quick fun ones here and there on the free version of fxdreema. I am still contemplating whether to get a year subscription and have some fun. If there was a few people that had some strategy ideas to make EAs with, it would be a lot easier as making something with a fresh idea is more difficult as I need to find a strategy idea as well as building the EA.

Any worthwhile ideas, please let me know. I can normally build at least an only buy or only see EA to see if the idea works. If it works, I am happy to invest my money with the strategy developer to build the full version buy and sell of the EA by me subscribing to fxdreema for the year and possibly henceforth.

I don't know where I am going wrong to not have the same results as you. I would expect at least 2017 to be similar than you. I have not changed the deviation to 1.25 but I would not expect it to be so dissimilar.

i guess you have to place 1000 initial balance. Since it traded .01
maybe your broker have different results

not yet, im testing it on demo to see its behavior first in the next 1-2 months. Then go live on a small account.
If results are good, i may go live earlier

I am test GBPUSD 15M 2012-2016 5 years 99% quality. I have some error in the testing I don´t know.

Forward testing positive so far.

well still looking for a nice system. I am trading manually and not sure this can be translated into EA. For now i am trading it ca 3 months and it is ok and giving nice results. Weakest point is my mind which giving me wrong decisions.
If my set up works for me i will share it.
I did not see any EA that is profitable and available here. Your Piggy was nice but not perfect . Currently i started to test Tekkies [ other thread ] EA with green pip.

what settings you used?

IN GBPUSD default M15


the eurusd and eurgbp does not work well with the default parameters, I have to adjust it. When I have it I publish it. The backtest takes a long time to finish
