EAs: Spread filter VS News filter

Hi

i'm designing EAs, and i'm wondering if News filters are better than just a simple spread filter ?

are both necessary ? or is the spread filter enough ?

not that i am lazy to implement a news filter, i've already done mine, but i want to know what is the best and not implement something that is useless andd look like a fool

i am writing an indi that would toggle the Autotrade button during news but it's still in dev

What about one that analyses the news calendar before the news whether it is medium or high impact versus no impact? Since within 30 minutes to 1 hour leading up to a news there are effect of it.
