Btw, this is a very good, objective way to distinguish between noisy, mean-reverting (vwap~POC) and trend behavior.

My approach is universal set of rules applied to different instruments and different scales to capture all market conditions and behaviors in a 24x5 cycle. Not real diversification but it works most of the time until it doesnt

I don't know Copernicus at all, and can't speak for or about him, but generally speaking an over-analytical and/or over-intellectualised trading approach is the telltale sign of a fearful trader. I know so because I've been there myself, and I've seen others in the same situation.

The way out of the dilemma is to manage the fear instead of trying to control the market through analysis ad absurdum.

The risk and unpredictability, as well as the limitations of analysis, need to be fully accepted, and the fear managed, before progress can happen.

A quote from the Hagakure comes to mind:

but whats wrong on his approach?

he is doing very good, trades what he like to have as amount (by this he is feeling good and dont have any fear) and know by calculation the risk, in best cases reduced by diversification over many porduct classes. why increasing risk when all is going well and all is calculated to a point. i think he did already calculated the drawdown to a point, where he can live with it and has a good chnace/risk value to survive and earn enough.

so he accepts the risks and unpredictability, but only until the point he cant predict it. if its not possible to predict both with a good chance then trading is impossible.

by the way: you write on the end "No wonder they dislike death." - i dont like death too, life is super and only one to have. so why to like death? i will see the people who are death are good traders, beeing alive can help a lot :-).

wow, so i answer now to you, and wil get again picture? wow, this will help a lot, then i really are happy to answer you, thanks. when you will stop your picture noob time, i answer to your question or text. because i had wrote correct. your problem was you did call exactly what many advanced traders do, calculate all by math, because its so easy possible, if you know what to do. and was not possible to see any reason why you tell your text, because there was no disadvantage not to do, and only advantages to do.
when you are back in answer mode, you can get more aspects, but i dont like to speak against picture sender, then i feel like in kindergarden.

You guys are really worked up. Everyone is ready to blow. Trading shouldn't instill anxiety. Put on some pink floyd, have a glass of wine, and wait for the market to come to you. No one has to prove anything to anyone. I don't care if my advice is followed, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the best trader on these boards. But so what? It works for me, I love what I do, and I'm thankful I was given a talent that allows me the freedom to enjoy some luxuries in life and my family. Agreed! So what? Who cares! If you found your niche, you should be laughing at the world. If you challenge my trading methods or my success, who cares! I'm the one that takes care of my family and pays the bills....just laugh it off. Is your system better than mine, couldn't care less. I'm always open to entertaining new ways of doing things or tweaking what i'm currently doing. This is how traders are built, and its what propels them to success! Hey Folks,

I have been lurking on this forum for about 5 or so years. I never joined because the negativity was just, so horrible. It took a long time, but I finally learned how to weed through the posts, the information and the people. It got to the point that the only thing I would do is read Crucial Point's stuff.

With that being said, when he disappeared last year I was really bummed out and I would check this place over and over for any of his/her new posts. I almost brought myself to join, just so I could subscribe and find out when there is a new post.

I remember this thread the first time around and last week when I say it revived with CP's posting, it was fantastic to see.

There are some really good mind's in this thred! Frickn' genius' in ever sense of the word. (No sarcasm intended.) With the revival of this thread I couldn't resist joining, so I could follow CP and a couple of others.

My point being, you guys/girls have some serious talent in here, so please don't go ruining it by running good people out of here.
