It may be more likely in a leafy burb but inner city it is rife. I don't care how good performance is of your car if a 40 T wagon goes into you at speed you are likely history.

There was a short vid some years back of survivability testing that had been performed on some cars. The samples were dropped on their roofs from 2 metres to see what happened to the passenger compartment. All of them crushed down except for the Swedish variants, if I recall correctly (IIRC), particularly the Saab 900 maintained its shape completely indicating that any occupants would likely survive a roll-over crash ... asides from other injury causes of course.

I don't think so mate, when it can no longer be contained it just flows to find a level but as I'm not a mensa man perhaps there is a solution.
In my mind much is made of the velocity but without the correct size containment it will always just flow.
I suppose it could be proven by being full and sealed then when up to speed releasing the lid ? Would be interesting to see. I think it will still spill out as containment is the more important factor.

Just seen the flat earth stuff, not really a physics geek and you guys will know way more than me.

The first time I seen this stuff was a few years ago on another forum, the newest incarnation came from 4chan (I think) and most of the people who 'believed' in the flat earth and were publishing stuff on how the earth was flat were actually just elaborate trolls. Though I'm sure there are some true believers.

Now everyone seems to be talking about it and the conversation is a lot more serious whereas originally it was definitely a prank and most people understood it was, with some joining in and pretending to 'believe'.

Its has morphed into some bizarre social experiment now, watching how far conspiracy theories can go, and how people wrangle with 'truths' and 'facts' and 'sources'.
